Penguin☆Brothers

Both stories deal with bullying at schools, and a girl who goes against the norm and gets outcast for it. Both series get pretty violent at times, and both lead males have a soft side to them. While there are love triangles in both series, don't expect penguin brothers to have nearly as much romance as hana yori dango does. Still, both series are cute and fun reads.

Saruyama!
add

Karekano and Saruyama both follow the progression and development of a couple over the course of highschool. There is not much outside jealousy/rivalry in both series and both have significant family drama. Overall, karekano is more serious of a manga but saruyama and karekano share many underlying themes.

Kimi ni Todoke
add

Both Kimi ni Todoke and Lovely Complex both deal with a very awkward love between two individuals that progresses very slowly. And during the show, the side characters support the two main characters and have their own little romantic dramas. The characters and style of the show feel very similar, even though lovely complex is a little more comedic than Kimi ni Todoke, both have their funny moments...Sawako and Risa make the most interesting facial expressions!

Both oneshots share a similar artwork style, and are fairly slice of life, with a weird twist about it. In the island they want to get to the mainland, and in She Got Off the Bus at the Peninsula there is the shop next to a popular suicide cliff. They're both interesting reads.

Touch
add

Both of them are by Mitsuru Adachi, and both are baseball anime shows with romance on the side. In my opinion Touch is better, but if you liked one you'll defenitely like the other. Each has similar sort of twists and turns, and similar situations with the characters, even though the stories are very different.

Tenshi ja Nai!!
add

Both these manga are gender bender stories taking place at a high school where students live in dorms. Of course, the schools are single-gender only. In hana-kimi it's an all boys school, while in Tenshi ja nai it's an all girls school. In both stories, the two main characters end up living in the same room, and one of them is dressing up as the other gender! And of course, the other roomate discovers this quite early in the series. Both are also very funny series and highly entertaining.

Both W-Juliet and Tenshi ja Nai have main guy characters that are dressing as girls for one reason or another. Also, the main girl characters do not act overly feminine... so of course they start to fall in love with each other! Anyway, both these manga are funny and cute, and great gender bender stories. If you liked one, definitely check out the other.

There are quite a few similarities between these two. In both, there are two families where the parents remarry. Both are really cute and fun to read too!!

Both stories deal with tragedies and love. Mucha Kucha Daisuki is more comedic/light hearted than Soctrates in love, and its also longer...but both share pretty similar plots. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you're a fan of drama/tragic love stories and liked one of these, you may like the other.

Koukou Debut
add

Both Koukou Debut and Lovely Complex are lighthearted shoujo romantic comedies. The main couple in both these series follow similar patterns. Risa(Lovecom) is worried about her height and Haruna (Koukou debut) is too atletic to get guys. Both fall in love with guys at first who end up getting other girlfriends, then go for the guy that they've known longer. They're both very cute and if you liked one you'll probably like the other. They have a similar feeling to them.

There are too many similarities between these two to list them all. Both are about a girl who ends up in an all boys school, and falls in love with their roommate. Sano and Itou look really similar, and so does Mizuki and Takanashi. Both have really similar romances, and comedy. If you liked one, you'll most likely like the other :)

Even though one is about hosting and the other is about hairstyling, the characters are so similar in their personalities and even character designs.. (Ochiai is way too similar to Kyouya). Aside from that they're both lighthearted comedy romance stories that have fun twists. If you really liked Ouran you defenitely have to check out Beauty Pop... you won't be disappointed!

The romantic drama is really similar. The main character is a girl who a ton of guys seem to just fall in love with! Also, Miki and Ichiko have similar personalities (they both cry a LOT) I don't want to spoil anything, but if you enjoyed Marmalade boy's drama then you will probably enjoy Ichigo Channel, and vice versa.

Both shows have similar character designs, even though the personalities in the show are very different. Also, both have themes that follow mental illness and trauma. However, School Days focuses more on romance while Myself ; Yourself seems to focus more on character relationships. There were just many times during Myself ; Yourself that reminded me of School Days, even though their plots are different.

I have always found these shows to be similar. Both steal for the sake of god, and to help people. both have crazy female characters who want to catch the main character. and both shows have romances between people who shouldn't know the main character's identity. They're both very good shows :)

Both revolve around singing.. and both have main characters that sing for the person they love (who is blonde in both shows!) and then yet there is a dark haired, angry "rival" who doesnt seem like a rival at first. Both shows have evil rivals (who have evil pets), and the list goes on. Overall, they're a fairly similar setup and if you enjoyed one, you may enjoy the other! However, Kirarin Revolution contains a lot more filler than Fullmoon.
