This is an anime that had so much potential to be a great story. There were pretty interesting ideas behind it, but unfortunately they were not properly executed. I guess one of the main problems of this anime was that perhaps the author tried to introduce too many ideas, which at the end make the story a bit confusing. As a consequence, not sure why, but I ended up with a sensation that I have watched just a spin off or a different setting of a much more interesting story.
Story
By reading the synopsis, I guess it is kind of clear that this anime is about

some kids that have special abilities/powers. At the beginning, on the first episode it looked like this anime was gonna be about how these kids were gonna fight and help others like them from getting captured by some scientist. That ended up being true to some extent, but it was a bit a different from the action packed story I was expecting. After the first episode, this anime turned more into a slice of life anime which only showed their everyday lives and meeting other people like them with almost close to none conflict. I mean, sure it was clear their enemy were the scientist, but I barely saw one. Towards half of the season, there was a little drama, and that is where everything got a bit confusing.
On the second part of the anime, some details and background story explaining the beginning of how they got theirs power were told. However, there was a bit of confusion about how some of the powers worked, and that ended up hurting the story a little bit. On this part of the anime, there was a little action. However, even thought the scientists did show up for a few scenes, their main enemy was a different one, and it was some terrorist. As for the ending, I do not know what to think. It was a bit rushed, but maybe that was because the writer tried to closed as many plot holes as possible. It felt almost like he purposely did not wanted to leave any chance for a second season.
Characters
Well, I want to start with the scientists. Ok, they are not the main characters, but I want to start with them because even though they were supposed to be the villains, they barely showed up. Also, they got even replace by some terrorist towards the end. It was hard to see how bad they really were aside from a few scenes.
From the main characters, I guess the more important are Yuu and Nao. From the first minutes of the first episode, I got great hope of Yuu. I mean, he look very different from those annoying crybabies, useless, wimp characters that somehow attract many girls. He was quite confident, a bit selfish and arrogant with a little bit of an antihero feeling, and a guy who would get anything and any girl he wants. Too bad my hopes were crashed when he met Nao. Nao was a good character. I guess like her, but I guess it made me angry that she ruined and stop the Yuu I liked so far. Other characters were ok, but sometimes it was a bit hard to understand their purpose in the anime. One example is Takajou. I admit he was mostly use for some comical relief, but it was a bit annoying sometimes, and other than that he was kind of useless.
Overall
Well, in summary it was an ok anime to watch. Perhaps not the best I have seen, but it was not that bad either. Some of the concepts were really good. Actually, I think an anime based on how all the events of this anime started would be really great. I mean, for instance it would be nice to actually see the conflict between them and the scientists.

Perfect anime for those who like tear jerker dramas; Well, that would be the first impression anyone would get after reading the synopsis, but even if you are afraid of crying, this anime would prove to be worth watching it. This anime will be filled with some sad and bittersweet stories, but most of these have very beautiful and meaningful messages. The plot of this anime was in general really good, but, for some people including me, it lost its quality towards the end.
At the beginning, it could be said that the anime focused on the lives of other people, and not directly on

the main characters. Basically, the main characters will meet other people and thus we will get to know their individual stories. Those episodes were really great. I almost cried with some, but that just shows how good they were to engage the viewers or at least me. Human need for affection and the fear of losing someone close are the main topics of the episodes of this anime. Good episodes with very deep messages were built around those two ideas, which even if the endings were not the happiest they would offer some hope and show the bright side of everything that happened.
I did not enjoy the last part of the anime that much. Do not get me wrong, the ending was not that bad. However, this anime which had some really nice tear jerking stories, became a romance story. Romance, well, there is nothing wrong with a little romance. The problem with the romance on this story was that it got to a point that it was a bit too ridiculous; I mean, a romance story could not get any cheesier than this one. Also, perhaps another reason why I did not like this part of the anime is that the story focused on the main characters. Well, that sounds a bit stupid, but to be honest the main characters were not that likable.
The main characters in my opinion were not that great. I got to admit that I loved Isla and her clumsiness at the beginning, but eventually it got old. Tsukasa was not such a great character from the start. If I were to describe him I would say crybaby, useless most of the time, wimp... Anyway, why watch an anime where the main characters are not that good; well, like I said before, the first part of the anime focused on the lives of other people (Secondary characters). Those characters were really good, and it was their stories that made this a good anime. Background stories and the conclusion of the stories of the secondary characters were always entertaining and satisfying.
Anyway, I think overall this anime is good. It has some really nice ideas, and some of the stories are well executed. I might have been a bit disappointed about some aspects of the anime, but it had some really good and strong messages.

Some years ago, I found myself bored and searching for something good to read. While I was looking online for something similar to the "Forever War" and " The groundhog day," I came across this book, which story wonderfully mixes the time loops of "the groundhog day" with the war against some nonhuman beings of the "Forever war". I wasn't really expecting something that great, but I was proven wrong.

of extraterrestrial race. The main character finds himself trapped in this time loop, and starts looking for a way to change his fate. This manga has very little romance. There are some girls, and interactions between them and the main character on the manga, but this manga is centered more on the fight, and survival, so definetly wouldn't read it if I were looking for romance. The conclusion of the story in the book is quite satisfying since it answered every questions and plot holes that might have appeared. Reader is able to understand how the war started, why the time loop, how the main character got trapped in the time loop, and if there are other people experiencing the same thing.
The characters are well design, and they do not disappoint. The main character starts like the typical afraid and shy guy, but shows growth quite immediately. He becomes quite a badass after a couple chapters, and has some kind of darker side that makes him more interesting as the story progresses. The second most important character, who is a girl, is also quite interesting and well develop character. She starts as a role model, and an invincible soldier, "the full metal bitch," who has killed many enemies despite her small figure. As the story progresses these two become a bit close, and help each other to find a way out of the loop and win the battle.
Art is really good, the characters look really nice and the way they were drawn does live up to the description given to them. The exoskeletons and weapons, they use, look quite fantastic as well. Unfortunately , there is just one thing that is not good, and it is the way the extraterrestrial enemies were drawn. When I read the book, I imagine them a bit more humanoid, but the ones from the manga are just some giant spiky balls with teeth.
Overall this manga is quite a good read, the art is quite good, it sure won't disappoint for those who like war and fighting themed mangas.

One day I was looking for something similar to Deadman Wonderland, and then lucky me, I found this manga. Fukashigi Philia is a manga which story is a bit dark and tragic, but with the occasional very touching moments. For those who love phycological thrillers this might be a good read since the emotional state of every single character plays a very important role in the story.

crime with his group of friends, finds a girl who will end up shattering his new way of life and eventually unlock the true of what happened in their past. Just like Deadman Wonderland, the girl the main character found has some kind of connection with him from his past, but he has no memory of it. Also, it has some fights and its characters have some kind of superpowers that are result of that event in the past. In general, the story was well written, it did close every plot holes and it was a bit unpredictable. The romance part of the story was very little and actually a bit comical, but it was really nice; especially the way it concluded.
Art was not bad, it was actually pretty decent. Facial expressions were really good as they showed the mental state of their characters, which as I mention before was a big part of this manga. The design for every single character was really cool and original.
In summary, it was a really good manga to read, perhaps a bit too short. However, it came to really good and somehow satisfying conclusion.

Kimi no iru machi is a manga that will pass to history not because of its beauty, but cause of the original yet weird ideas from its mangaka. First one third of the manga was really enjoyable, quite a nice story between the two main characters developing a relationship while struggling with some typical high school problems and family issues. Romance on this part of the manga was really good, quite a cute story. After that is when the story took a very twisted turn. Perhaps as an attempt to make it more dramatic and interesting, the mangaka came up with a very interesting

and original new love triangle. This might be the very first manga where the main character, Haruto a guy, gets stolen by his love rival; yeah, you heard me right, he, not his girlfriend, gets stolen by the other guy. I guess love lost against friendship on this part of the manga. If you have ever heard the phrase "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer," well, this manga took that phrase to a new level. Later on, after those events, the manga became a slice of life centered on what Haruto wanted to do in the future. I do enjoy slice of life mangas, but the problem with KNIM was that it was only in the perspective of Haruto, who was never such an interesting character to follow, and not to mention that the romance part was barely present and lost its quality. Haruto struggles for about half of the manga about what to do for a living, even did weird things that went completely against his character, like breaking up with his girlfriend for a random job he got, only to end up becoming, what was really clear since the very beginning of the manga, a chef.
Art was really good, perhaps the only talent and strength of its mangaka, but even the art also lost a bit of quality towards the end. Towards the end, the heads of the characters had a weird shape at the top, they look a bit like the Coneheads but with hair.
Charaters of KMIN, what can I said about them, they lack development. They fail to show any maturity at the end of the manga. I would even venture to say they were more mature at the beginning than at the end. Sure the mangaka came up with the really great idea to just make other characters say "yeah, you have grown" as prove of their development, but their actions still showed otherwise. Something very funny is how most people did not like the main characters at the end of the manga. The choices taken by the main characters were never that popular nor understood by the readers.
Anyway, If somebody decides to venture and read Kimi no Iru Machi, I would suggest read just the first one third of the manga, when they become an official couple, and then drop it and just read the final chapter. And if you do that just ignore the helmet at the end.

This was quite a cute and entertaining story. The only thing, which I didn't quite understand and could have been approached differently, was the whole santa thing. Nonetheless, I guess it wasn't such a bad idea and actually a bit original in order to make sense the whole getting a little sister out of nowhere.
The characters where really enjoyable, from which Choko's and Chitose's being my favorites. I really enjoyed the interactions between Choko and her oniichan, and I couldn't stop laughting at Choko's innocence, and Chitose's daydreams. It was quite interesting to see how Haruma, Choko's Oniichan, matured during the series, becoming
...
a good big brother. I also enjoyed reading how his love life progressed during the series, how he had a big crush, got heartbroken, and finally realize who he loves dearly besides his little sister.
Overall, a really nice slice of life manga, with plenty of fan service.

Cute romantic comedy. The main heroine tries to help everyone around her, even at the cost of her own happiness. I liked how the two main characters interacted with each other, the chemistry between them was one of the strong aspects of this manga. Not too much drama, and every potential problem that arise was solve in a very comical way.
For those who don't like love triangles and love happy endings for every character, this manga is the right choice.

When I first saw this manga, I wasn't really expecting anything, but I was proven wrong. Not one of the best mangas I have read, but I really have a blast while reading it. One the strong aspects of this manga is the cuteness of the main heroine, who kind of reminds me a little of the little girl from Aishiteruze Baby. The cute little girl Uika is desperate looking for affection, which she finds from the easy-going demon Anzamnia. I usually do not like mangas with love triangles, but this one was ok. It was actually pretty entertaining. First part was a bit funny and pretty romantic. Second part, where the "love triangle" took place was a bit bittersweet, but the conclusion was pretty good. What I liked the most about this manga was the characters. Their personalities were pretty interesting, and their development towards the end was brilliant.

Not really a good manga to read, but ok to read just to pass time. This manga features a quite ridiculous romantic triangle, where the heroine is so indecisive that it almost looks like she was playing tennis with the two guys. To be honest, I believe the mangaka flip a coin to decide which one would be the lucky or unlucky one. I am not sure if it was meant to be, but at some point this manga became a comedy to me. they started. Best part was the epilogue where the mangaka clearly shows that was having trouble to chose the right ending. I couldn't stop laughting at what she would have done if the guys were real people and she have to choose one.
