Magi and Reikenzan are pretty similar in a lot of ways. Both main characters are unique with special spirits. Both have crazy ability with magic. Both focus on the main character training and becoming stronger. Both have the MC starting their training with physical training while everyone else starts magic training right away. The main difference is Reikenzan is a bit more light-hearted and has a stronger focus on training than Magi does

Both anime share a super strong main character who can pretty much do anything with magic. Both have a focus on empire building. Both Main Characters have strong friends that look up to the MC. Both anime are also pretty laid back, but Reikenzan has less adventure and a stronger focus on training to become better

The main similarities between these anime is the time period, the whole "building an empire", and the main characters are both op as all hell. Just a heads up, in Reikenzan, the MC doesnt start building an empire til season 2

Reikenzan is similar to Irregular at Magic High in the ways that the MC is super OP and things usually end up working in the MC's favor. Both main characters are highly intelligent and their peers look up to them. Theres also a strong focus on improving spiritual power, which is somewhat similar to the training in Irregular at Magic High

Reikenzan shares a lot of the same vibes as The Asterisk War. The main character is OP and things tend to work in his favor. A huge plot point is him training to be stronger. It also does well balancing lightheartedness with action, adventure, and comedy.

In both anime the Main Character is OP as hell and a super genius. Both anime have magic, both focus on building an empire. They also both share the desire to stop evil people from controlling/abusing their citizens. Both also have the classic light-hearted Isekai vibe, though Reikenzan isnt an Isekai anime. Other than that Reikenzan has a much stronger focus on training to become better

If you really like the whole "Main Character trains to be a badass" theme, then you'll love Reikenzan. Like My Hero Academia, almost the entire plot has to do with the Main Character training to be stronger, or to be able to withstand someone else's powers. Its does well balancing lightheartedness with action, adventure, and comedy. Similarly, it has a strong focus on the main character training to become better as well as learning from masters. Also, the MC is super smart and OP as hell. I will say though that its slower paced than MHA, and a bit goofier. Overall I suggest this anime if you like MHA

Similarly, it has a strong focus on the main character training to become better as well as learning from masters. Also, the MC is super smart and OP as hell.
