STORY: I have personally did not read its manga but the anime adaptation has surely conveyed the story very well. The story would definitely give you a similar feel which the anime Clannad had given off. So Clannad lovers this is definitely a must watch. High school based theme and mainly focuses on the lives of the members living in the dorm Sakurasou and this dorm is inhabited by people who are prodigies in their field of Creativity(painting, animation, programming, writing, etc) and then there is our main guy who is the normal type. ArtWork: Well this anime is full of Artwork each and every character has a innate talent for the art-creativity. The colors have a light theme and it can be related to Oreshura(anime). And the animation can get complex sometimes taking it to 3D scenes as well in 2 eps.
Sound: Wisely used. Both the Openings themes as well as the first Ending themes were very much like by me.
Character: the character development is the max especially of the character Mashiro Shina who represents the 'pet' in the title and believe me she is an interesting character, you'll will surely love her. The main guy Sorata also changes significantly as he is the driving force of the anime. My personal favorite Akasaka who is programmer and a total shut in but when he has to talk or give advice, he does it like a boss.
Enjoyment: i loved this anime, there were time when i watched 8 episodes straight
Overall: Definitely worth a try. I personally feel that this one should get an English DUB. If you'll love Clannad then i guarantee this will also add to your list. Though it wont go as hardcore as Clannad:after story(no chance)!!
