What does Evangelion have to do with Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, though? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to say if I liked the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA then I'd like 2040?(Which, I did like the OVA's).
Yep, that's one of my favorite pieces of Bebop fanart, it's clever stuff.
Yeah, Maho could be pretty good. Only reason I honestly picked it up was because it was produced partly by Gainax, and there are gorgeous, crisp new bluray rips out of it out. And they look stunning as hell. I can get along with some easy harem-esque watching sometimes.

I definitely noticed that the production team behind Cowboy Bebop really put a lot of work into each episode. Like you said, each one was basically like a short movie yet they managed to weave in some of the character's backstories and make us feel empathy for the antagonists. That and Nujabes work on the soundtrack really brought the atmosphere to life. Definitely a very well-produced series.
I browsed through your list and noticed that you mainly watched a lot of shounen titles. Have you considered trying out some different genres to see what they are like. For me, part of the appeal of anime is in the different genres and how they are handled by different studios. Just some food for thought.

Well I started watching anime in high school but stopped during my first year of university. It was only back in November of last year that I started watching again, although this time taking a more critical approach. I'm going to skip the introductions because you can always find out more about me on my page.
Right now I'm trying to watch a wide variety of series (even those outside of my comfort zone) and improve my writing style. I hope to be able to get to a point where I become fairly proficient with writing reviews of shows I have seen.
Anyways, enough about me. I see that you have Cowboy Bebop as one of your favourites. Its also one of my current favs so I was wondering what you enjoyed about it.
