Isekai that doesn't fall into a pit of cheap Harem, Shitty power trips (yet). With relatable characters is rare I can practically count the good ones on one hand. Guess I can add another one.
sadly it suffers from shitty exposition as is usual in anime/manga. With some relatively weak dialogue in crucial moments really ruining the chance for a heartfelt scene. But hey this is not unusual here. But one kind of wishes they could take a few hints on good dialogue from the better shows. *Sigh*
overall the show is not bad though. Animation is okay, artstyle is easy on the eyes. Story

Yeah we all know where this is going now arent we?? Well let me elaborate and say that this belongs to the flood of nation-building Isekais where this is one of the few that became an anime. And let's just say that the subgenre within the isekai world isn't exactly known for it's improved writing. Even worse it actually tries it's hand on politics which I must say, spare us the embarrassment cause this is dumb. As is always the curse with shounen shows and we would find similar issues within teenage books as well. The story writing and character portrayal are pretty bland and poorly done.
But that is more the rule for these things rather than a sad inconvenience. What Kimetsu no Yaiba makes up for instead is probably the best tv show animation since Violet Evergarden. Amazing music score and great combat choreography that has been beautifully incorporated with the art style to make it feel powerful, magical and delicious to observe. And a sense of pacing that actually does all this justice while trying to hide what ...

Looking for the average slice of life story with little to no real progress and just plain old comedy and nothing else? then dive right into this copy-paste same same isekai manga that manages to do absolutely nothing new since the time of harem comedy mangas of the early 2000's.
Character growth? meh who needs that? Actual relationships? HAH like these authors have ever encountered something like that in their life. Social interactions that aren't cliché one-liners? No what is that, ever talked to a real person? well if you think the dialogue in this manga is good I'm worried about you honestly. Because it is bad there ...

So no reviews here thus i shall try my hand at this.
1 - yes this story has quite a few clichés and tropes in it that people will recognise. The good part is that they are not ruining the story or being clumsily introduced. Each part has a proper story telling part to play which makes it easier to forgive the mistakes when they are introduced. 2 - This is not a very fast paced story compared to much Shounen or typical romance action stories.
