Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the choice of studio for Rewrite as well, and just generally expecting it to be a pretty poor adaptation. Although that said, the news of it happening will probably motivate me to read the VN sooner.

regarding the adaptation, it's the same studio that apparently butchered Grisaia (although after reading some of the VN, I'd say that there was nothing good in it to begin with XD), so I'm keeping my expectations as low as possible. I just want to see some of the jokes from the common route :)

That's interesting to hear about seeing Riki differently in the VN, and it definitely makes sense. I found him bland in the anime, but then again he had few monologues to offer us much insight into his character. For instance, I'm currently reading the Grisaia VN, and while in the couple episodes of anime I watched the MC seemed to be a blank slate and pretty bland, he's honestly one of the funniest and most interesting MCs I've seen in a VN.

Regarding him being slightly dense in Lucia's route: Kotarou completely forgets about the realization he already had during the date, and he has to go through an endless amount of stupid drama just to remember that he just loves her as she is, and not because he pitied her... (or maybe you're talking about his refusal to accept Haruka's exsistence, towards the beginning of the route)
I have to admit that Rewrite kinda let me down overall, but it was worth it for some scenes (mostly in the Akane & Moon routes), and for Kotarou's development.
My biggest disappointment was Kotori's route, she could have been my favorite...

Glad to hear it! I was curious as to whether it would still be funny if I wasn't as familiar with the characters.

And I see. Rewrite has been on my to-read list for some time. General thoughts on it? I agree; H scenes are usually unnecessary and I don't generally seek them out either. Thankfully, they're usually contained within a few skippable scenes, with the rest of the 50+ hour (or however long) VN being free of sexual content. And yeah, the time commitment can be challenging for sure.

How are you liking Little Busters? I watched the anime some months ago and found the adaptation pretty sub-par, especially considering how well Kanon & Clannad were adapted (imo). And I'm not sure if I'd be able to appreciate the VN as much now that the anime's spoiled major plot points to me.

Yeah, I definitely agree. It would be a bit boring if everyone thought the same of everything. xD What were your thoughts on Carnival Phantasm btw? And were you a VN reader of either Tsukihime or F/SN?

Ah, well much appreciated. Looking at your list now and you seem to have great taste yourself! A lot of things I agree with, and glad to see someone else who doesn't diss 2003 FMA.
