This animes have makes same impression. 1. Dramatic and involved story and some Far Eastern country as main place for it 2. A bit naive and strange main character, young girl who became high-skill mercenary and uses mostly guns for fighting 3. "Yuri without yuri itself". A lot of moments between Madlax and Vanessa same as between Canaab and Maria makes you wish for it but there's no real shojo-ai moment in series There are some more common moments but this 3 would be enough

Both animes are comedies attached from short episodes(mostly 2 per series) that shows some funny stories about high-scool students. All characters are tipical in base but very bright
