Have you ever liked an anime's characters so much you wished they got out of the dreadful story they are involved in?
Well, BNHA is this case.
Why does a season 2 or a season 3 always get more praise than season 1? That's because people who already saw the awful plot already dropped the series and the only ones remaining are the ones who praise it a lot.
But why do i keep watching it even though i almost gave Season 1 a 5? Well, because people told me Season 2 was a "masterpiece". I decided to give it another chance and I was not

disappointed. Midoriya's plot armor had disappeared for a time being and the anime focused on other great characters (such as Todoroki and Ochako).
As a matter of fact, I decided to give Season 3 a go. Season 3 is the worst season of BNHA, and it's not hard to know why (spoilers ahead):
1) Plot armor. Midoriya once again defeats a strong enemy (who nobody cares for btw) using an asspull power-up. All Might defeats the most powerful of all enemies by just talking and a Smash, ugh.
2) Filler episodes. They stretched the whole License Exam arc, one of the worst arcs out there. Playing dodgeball? Ugh. Rescuing people? Ugh. The worst of all filler episodes was the mystery episode. Midoriya solved the case just himself, which takes me to the other point:
3) Midoriya. He is becoming the Kirito of BNHA. He solves cases, always saves his classmates, girls love him, boys praise him. even the teachers always speak about him "he's the heart of the team". And what even bothers me most, is that Midoriya can't stop crying. He has to cry 2 times each episode. It doesn't feel emotional at all, it feels horribly forced. When Bakugo cried, it felt real. Midoriya is just crying and crying for everything. He is the worst character in this series.
4)Arcs and villians. Have you noticed how we are moving in a full circle? That's because this story is not going anywhere. We get a "training arc", then an "exam arc", then the villians appear out of nowhere with no special reason and we get the "Villian team arc". Then, a bad guy (nobu, stain, All for one) appears and the pro heroes have to defeat him with the help of the students. Then we go to the starting line. I don't think that after 50+ episodes, some students have only figured this much of how to use their quirks. For example, the acid girl now just uses her hands to shoot at larger distances. Midoriya only figured that he has legs, Bakugo now shoots an explosive beam. We are going nowhere if you think they are progressing.
5)Filler characters. Each 2-3 episodes, we are introduced to great new characters. These characters are designed perfectly. They are great, i am not kidding. The guy who can manipulate his skin? Great! The gale guy? Amazing! What's the problem? They are only introduced with the sole purpose of giving one fight and never ever appearing again. They even introduce us "The Great Three"; i am sure they will get disposed once this arc ends.

But not everything is bad about BNHA, I mean, i love its characters (except mineta, the tail guy and the sugar guy). The animation is superb, the fights are amazing too. The music is meh. But I am seriously considering to stop watching this after too many Deku-focused episodes, too many filler and it's horrible writing.
Well, I have been told "Overhaul" arc is super dark and i cannot miss it. Maybe I can give S4 a go, but if it dissappoints me, I can assure you I won't hestitate in dropping this series.

Highly uninspirational, Jigoku Shoujo: Yoi no Togi still suffers from it's predecessor's mistakes, with a lot of terrible writing, horrible character designs, and uninteresting situations.
I have seen people saying it has a lot of "dark and twisted" themes going on, but I can only see how bad the writers want their characters to be bad.
We still get the "bullied schoolgirl "episode we see every season, the "all friendship carries hatery" staple and of course "bad people do bad things" special.
I don't think this counts as an spoiler because you know this is going to happen in every episode, but I particullary hate the

third episode. If you don't want to be spoiled, stop reading.
It's about guy who hates his family, so he goes with Hell Girl and he gets the doll. After he uses it, he decides he will be a serial killer because he's going into hell anyway. Well, if being a serial killer is so easy, why didn't he kill his family? The third episode is full of idiocies, i can understand a member of the family is a bad person, but why everyone? The cousin comes home and punches his uncle and her aunt in the face, then, why not call the police? I mean, if an uncle came to my house and punched my family i would call the police, i'm pretty sure you can't go in a house, punch the owners and get away with it. After he punches them, her daughter says "hey he's sensitive you have to understand him". I mean, he just punched your parents in the face, you can't be an idiot forever. So in this family, everyone is a bad person; and the protagonist wants to kill everyone because he is a good person, so he becomes a serial killer, why does he need Enma Ai? Because this series tries to make you think "good" people are stupid. This show really insults your intelligence.

The characters designs are awful, Deen should just stop animating for once. All the budget goes to Enma, of course. We stili get stupid characters like Yamawaro, that loves saying "princess" and winding up her car. Also, why is Kikuri still there? The music is nothing special. But let's talk about the pacing. Remember when Enma used to be called by her grandma, remember when she traveled on her carriage? Remember when she tortured evil souls and paddled slowly into the gates of hell? Well, almost all of that is gone, the tortures, and the paddling, everything is rushed. You can even see how they try to end the episode quickly. This anime used to be slow-paced and nice, not rushed drama. If you think this is "dark and twisted", then, Jigoku Shoujo will mostly become the new Mirai Nikki or Elfen Lied.

Flip Flappers might not be a masterpiece, but it surely is a hiddem gem. Immerse yourself in this beautiful world "Pure Illusion" and join Papika and Cocona in an adventure to find their true identities. I feel like this anime is better enjoyed not knowing what it is about, but I'm sure anyone will find enjoyment in this series. Don't worry about plot, or anything, everything will develop beautifully. Enjoy the great soundtrack, psychodelic scenes, great character development. Give this series a try, you won't regret it.

If there's something negative I can say about this series, it would be the fact that the story doesn't explain a lot and just creates things because it looks cool. Also, sometimes the Art leaves a lot to be desired.
Leaving that apart, nothing is terrible, everything is enjoyable and this is surely my favorite anime of this season.

Do you like poorly written stories with little bit of complexity, horrible characters and a plot that will make you say "mm, that's ok, i guess" ? Well, Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku might be for you. Yes, it's a Hunger Games with Magical Girls. Excuse me if my review seems like a spoiler, but it isn't. This anime is so poorly written that is predictable.
Story 3/10
What happens when an anime based on a game doesn't follow its own rules? Well, this happens. I will quote Danganronpa. Danganronpa was a killing game that had precise rules: they will apply to

anyone and they will be followed no matter what. This anime doesn't do this. At first, they tell you they need to cut the magical girls to 8, then they tell you you can buy magical items to get an advantage, then they tell you that they have to modify the rules yet again so the plot keeps going. This is totally dumb and unimaginative. Instead of the girls trying to figure out how to avoid getting killed by following the rules, they are forced to do stupid things like buying magical items.
Then I must tell you this is heavily rushed. At first i felt the pacing was just right, but then we get 4 deaths in an episode. That means 12 minutes of flashbacks.
But the greatest sin of this anime is letting you know who is going to die just before they do. I feel like watching Akame ga Kill, when someone is about to die, they just show you a flashback of how this magical girl got her powers. And even after all this senseless slaughter, it was completely predictable who was going to win.
Character 1/10
Pathetic. Characters are pathetic. We have Snow White, she doesn't do anything at all except crying while everyone wants to protect her for some reason. People tell me not to compare her to Madoka, well, she's Madoka, except she doesn't do anything at all in the end. Then we have Ripple and Hardgore Alice which admire Snow White for some reason, in a Homura way, I guess. The cast is divided in 2: bad magical girls and good magical girls that protect Snow White. Fav is a Monokuma-Kyubei clone and it's dumb. Also, all of the cast get like 3 minutes of development prior to her deaths. I'm sorry, but this is not how you write a character.

I don't even remember the ending because I skipped it, generic.
Art 6/10
The designs were good, I must admit. But I hate the placement. They all fight in the city at night, and they don't do anything else. Most of the fights develop in a building's ceiling. Cool, I guess.

Decent entertainment because you are trying to figure out who is going to get killled next...then the death flag appears.
Overall 3/10
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku is a poor anime. Bad story, bad writing, terrible characters. Even the fans of gore will likely find amusement in another story. Please avoid it at all costs.

Living by the shadow of One Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100 is probably the best anime that aired this season. People are always complaining about how anime is always the same: boys that can travel back in time, tsundere protagonists or MMORPG worlds.
Mob Psycho 100 tells the story of an overpowered boy who doesn't know he's overpowered. About a boy that doesn't feel special just because he has powers. He instead wants to become more popular and more fitting to other humans.

almost any evil spirit. But after some episodes, the anime tells you the story of an underdog. A guy who doesn't feel special just because he can defeat spirits. He is a humble boy who wants to be better in other ways. Mob is in love with a girl and he wants to impress her, but he knows his powers are not the way to impress a girl. Mob is given the opportunity to join the "esper club" but he is not interested in that. In conclusion, Mob is a boy who wants to overcome his own insecurities that happens to be a powerful esper.
Character 10/10
Characters are so funny and likeable. Apart from Mob, we have Reigen (Mob's master), Ritsu (Mob's brother) , Dimple and some other characters that join later. The story takes a lot of comedy twists and they totally work. Reigen is a smart con man that always knows how to deal with every situation. Also, he's very caring towards Mob. Ritsu is a boy who feels overshadowed by his brother, but learns to overcome that during the plot development.
Art and Sound 10/10
The animation is impressive. The fights look so damn great and epic. Contrary to OPM, real fights actually happen and they look fine! The music is astonishing and the opening is not bad either.
Overall 10/10
Mob Psycho 100 has a lot of perks: good animation, good story, good character development and it also comes as one of the best comedy shows out there. If you liked One Punch Man, you will absolutely love Mob Psycho 100. If not, I feel like Mob Psycho 100 can get a place in your heart.

I admit it, I watched this because ufotable never disappoints me when it comes to animation. I wanted to have some eye candy, and I had. The problem with Tales of Zestiria is that nothing is memorable, the animation is pretty decent...but, what about the story, the characters. Where's the spirit?

fantasy world: dragons, people sometimes use magic, almost everything in this world are woods and there are evil beings. Nice. I haven't played Tales of Zestiria, but Tales of the Abyss had a more interesting story. I give it a 3/10 just because Tales of Berseria has a more promising story and it seems more like something I would love. I hope we get more of Tales of Berseria on second season instead of Zestiria.

Yeah, it's beautiful. It's colorful and great. But with the awful character writing and awful situations, I would rather watch Fate/Zero again. Thanks ufotable though!

Sound is very good, but not really special. It feels like an epic moment is going on when nothing special is happening. I don't like the opening, the ending is meh. I feel like ufotable is trying too hard with the sountrack.

God, this is why I hate this show. At least Re:Zero had some character development. These characters are terrible. Not even they fail to feel emotions, they fail to accomplish their stereotypes. Genki boy Sorey is so boring, he is a good guy and wants to save everyone from evil...nice. Mikleo is protagonist's best friend and he's always telling the protagonist how great is to explore ruins; he's also there to inform the protagonist the situation. Pincess Alisha is a woman that I don't like just because she has no personality at all, she is just a princess. Then we have Lailah, who is there to inform the protagonist: "that's an hellion, purify him". I forgot how the loli character was called, but she's terrible too. And then we have 3 more characters that get almost no development at all.
Enjoyment 5/10
This show is boring. Yeah, you get some nice animation, but that's all. The only reason i will watch season 2 is because I would like to see some more Tales of Berseria, but if you want some eyecandy, go watch Fate/Zero.

Tales of Zestiria the X is a skippable anime. I wouldn't recomment it to anyone, and I mean, I would rather watch something that doesn't bore me than this "good vs evil in a fantasy world" show.

As a big fan of Love Live I was really expecting Love Live Sunshine this summer. Most of the Love Live fanbase was trying so much to hate this anime since Aquors was replacing µ's and most of them were trying to hate the new girls. I always thought Sunshine would make a fresh new start in the series and would make us like the new girls in a different way we loved µ's. Sadly, Love Live Sunshine didn't live up on my expectations, but still it is a very enjoyable anime.
Story 5/10
Even though I started liking the story, the writing becomes

repetitive. Most of the ideas were taken out from the first anime: Start:Dash moment, school is closing again, some characters were retired idols. While I feel like µ's spent too much time practicing and worrying about Love Live, Aquors like to hang out and eat ice cream. During the final episodes, Chika wants to practice a lot, but still, it seems like the anime focuses more on "cute girls doing cute things".
Character 7/10
I'm not disappointed with the character writing, but I don't feel overwhelmed neither. Most of the characters were already written in Love Live. Chika is a Honoka clone: it's the exact same character with no actual reason to become school idol except "I want to shine". We have Ruby, a Hanayo-like character who is cute and loves idols. Dia is the student council president that doesn't want Chika to become an idol at first, exactly like Eli. Mari is a Nozomi like character who says english stuff combined with japanese, she also rubs everyone's breasts...uhh. Then we have Riko, who is an Um -like character combined with Maki's abilities, she serves as the protagonist main love interest and best friend (I'm not kidding here). Kanan is a gloomy character that becomes more like Eli as time passes. Yoshiko is probably one of my favorite characters, even though her character has been done a lot of times; she delivers fun like Nico in a Chunii way, but Nico is probably funnier, and I don't like Nico a lot. I feel like Hanamaru and You are the best characters here. You is a girl with a lot of security but she's kind of jealous, she is always smiling and cheering people up; she isn't a Kotori, since Kotori is always trying to accept everyone's opinions, even when hers are being rejected. Hanamaru is a Rin-like character, except she isn't Rin; she always says "zura" except of "nya", but she has a lot of character development and I can understand her character a lot.
Art and Sound 10/10
As always, Love Live delivers colorful art along with beautiful music. The animation is fine, thanks to Sunrise. All performances look gorgeous and the girls look pretty.
Enjoyment 8/10
The anime is pretty dramatic and funny, so you will always get a lot of laughs and tears. There aren't many plot twists, so it loses a lot of Enjoyment, since you know the girls are going to make it eventually.
Overall 8/10
With repetitive characters, mediocre story writing, but beautiful music and sound, Love Live Sunshine!! will be loved by LoveLivers but it lacks the spirit the first anime had.

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge starts off as a really charming, relaxing but a little bit disappointing anime. I really enjoyed most of the jokes presented in early episodes but sadly the anime starts falling on the same clichés as a lot of slice of life animes.
One thing I really loved about this anime was the art and animation: it was lovely and relaxing. None o the characters seem poorly drawn or generic, and you'll probably like them in the end.
Music is really cute and always goes according to the situation. The ending song is also one of my favorites.

As for the characters, I really enjoyed watching everyone of them. Oota is probably my favorite characters, since he acts very mature and is always taking care of Tanaka. Most of the characters are likeable and their personalities shine a lot. They don't seem to take most of the things seriously and that's pretty good in my opinion.
I didn't really enjoy some of the last episodes of this series, since they included pool episodes, another fireworks episodes and a whole drama about Tanaka having a girlfriend. Most of this things feel very cliché and I would rather watch more situations.
But if you are looking for a great slice of life anime with loving characters, Tanaka-kun wa itsumo kedaruge is for you.
