Rin the protagonist had good intention when he was young, but he made it worst by lying to Kaede concerning her mothers timely death. After she figure out that he lied, she felt guilt remorse toward Rin, she was indebted to him and became obsessed.

Obsessed could also mean love, but Rin for some reason was a dense douche, he took her kindness for granted, which he learn later on, but it was too late for him to fall in love with her (he found someone else).

Love Hina was okay series, if I was younger (10-12 yr old), I might of enjoy the simple comedy and pervertedness of it all. The story was one-demension, Keitaro the protagonist kept on failing his exam's over and over, then spent his time casually with the girls... Worst off, he picked Naru, the gal who kept punching him like no tomorrow. Keitaro = masochists.

Junpei on the other hand has a more define goal to become a film director. He follows through with it in high school, forming a actual club and making movies, leading to his dream. His life isn't driven by the girls, its driven by accomplishing his dreams and learning about love in the process. I hope you've time to read my profile, hope it amuses you.

"Salad Days", its a old series, but the art is decent. What is your opinion and rating?

Indeed the anime series was a disagree and would only recommend watching after reading the series.

Have you watch the 4 part OVA episode 2 devoted to Nishino? That episode and in the manga was one of the most hilarious moments ever.

Shuffle is a favorite of mine, but I do sympathize for Kaede love life.
