For starters, it is pretty psychological. And that is also the thing i like best about it - the way it is psychological without lacking in excitement or action. The music is absolutely great, as well as the animation.
It might not be perfect, but it is my all-time favorite along with mushishi. I still feel that way after watching it three times :)
Oh and there is no sort of cheesy humor or perverted jokes.
The characters are also very deep and well developed, without any stereotypes. And there is no cliché romance either. PERFECTION imo :)
