Ha, it also reminded me DBZ - all those aerial super power sword fights in Bleach! Yeah things like that make Bleach pretty spectacular ..guess I need to start watching it after all)))
I've heard about "disciple kenichi". Dunno if it's good or bad - the scores are pretty high it's probably good. Personally I didn't check it because as of recently I try to avoid picking up new "shounen" titles altogether - just doesn't excite me enough, besides I already have some waiting on hold like "666 Satan" and "Ares" so I better finish them first...

Hey, if you don't mind samurai stuff you may try Lone Wolf and Cub. This one is truly classic in its epic-ness! Check that big review for it - the guy says it all and I absolutely agree with everything.

Berserk is great, go for it! As for epic-ness... well, it has some awesome arcs and really epic showdowns but the problem is that it's still not finished so after catching up to the latest chapters you might have mixed feeling about the whole series. You probably know that it's already been running for 20 years (!) and some people worry that it might have gone on for too long and if the author, not getting any younger, would still be able to make an ending worthy of the epic-ness from before.
Still a great read. You might also want to check out the anime - it's also very good but the manga is way better)

On re-reading Blame!... only first 2 volumes so not much to say yet)) ..except the version I've been reading has a different translation lol I took it from here: http://mangahelpers.com/m/blame/scanlations/?lang=en Very good scan quality though. Actually it's not like I'm re-reading for a 1701235678th time (only 3rd) to start noticing the tiniest of details, and besides the main point is enjoying the artwork, the atmosphere and things like that.

I only briefly looked into the 2nd chap of Sidonia and yeah I noticed an unusual amount of humor again. Well, Nihei is experimenting it seems and I actually feel like this humor is going to be an integral part of this series. We'll see after 30 chapters, as you said, I guess (if it lasts that long actually).

I put it on hold at the ep. 203 but this gal is like everywhere - avatars, fan-arts and stuff - wherever I go I see her, so I'm starting to think she may be a mega awesome character or something and I have to resume watching Bleach ASAP!)))

You see, I'm not into live tv series either -- couldn't even make myself to watch Lost even though everyone around was so crazy about it. Nah, just not my thing ...by the way, it just reminded me that I got the Terminator tv series not so long ago - it's called the Chronicles of Sarah Connor or something like that. Terminator is like really respected series by me (totally excited about the 4th instalment even though it's without Arny the governor ^^), but guess what? I watched the first episode and that's all :D Dunno, the tv format of live stuff just doesn't excite me enough. It's different with anime though...

Nihei's new work... hard to say after just one chapter. The artwork could've been better - for some reason Nihei doesn't put much effort into his drawing now... or maybe he just tries to be more "mainstream", dunno... The story seems to be weird - feels like another parody yet it can't be so I just don't know... need to see more.
You know, Nihei's stuff is totally unpredictable so even after a few volumes it might be too yearly to pass a final judgment like it was with Biomega... Well, I can say one thing: for some reason it reminded me Diebuster. Seen it? Check it out, you might like it))

Tamtrum is great too... so intense, it feels as I'm listening to death/black metal... well on some of the songs that is)
God Module is my favorite there - they are more of a "pop" but their tunes and melodies and overall atmosphere is just incredible!
Actually all that electronic music goes so well with Nihei's cyberpunk stuff that I used to read his manga while listening to it. Dark Ambient/Dark Industrial is also good for that.

Well, in short: metal (all sorts depending on the mood), dark electronic music, ambients (especially dark), atmospheric music in general, instrumentals, soundtracks, some folk and ethnic music too - well, pretty much everything except rap/hip-hop and pop music (with extremely rare exceptions).

The main story starts aroud the 20th episode or so and personally I think it's great! Loved it a lot even though was getting tired of that episodical stuff from before. Anyway I suggest you to finish it and see for yourself. BTW, do you like japanese horror in general? If you do, more the reason you should finish Jigoku Shoujo.

You like sword fights huh? Check out Shigurui then - this series might completely change your views on "sword fights"!))) Both manga and anime are great but you better pick anime first as it's really impressive -- directing, visuals, music, atmosphere are simply superb!
