Recommendation Club Newsletter~Holiday Edition

As we enter into one of the busiest times of the year, we here at the Recommendation Club would like to extend our wishes for each and every one of you to have a wonderful holiday season!

Since the September newsletter, our club has gained many new members, and seen the return of old ones. We would like to keep the momentum going, and with our member list now at 3,111, that should be no problem at all! ^_^.

We would like all of our members, old and new, to help keep this an active, and fun club, a place to Chat and to seek out recommendations in our General anime and General Manga thread as well as the specific anime genre threads, such as Drama and Romance and Sci-fi and many others as well.

It’s a great place to make new friends, or renew past friendships, and we urge all of our members to drop by, and post in the various threads and comment section, as well as share you expertise with other members.

We look forward to seeing you all here !

With the fall season upon us, the club has not been as active recently with our members being busy with work, school, and the other things life throws our way, but we here at the Recommendation Club want to let all of our members know that we haven't gone anywhere! We welcome you all to drop by, and say hello to old friends, or make new ones. We have a large member-list, and we would like to see all of you joining in, and sharing, your anime and manga knowledge with the club!

Loads of new members join all the time, either wanting recommendations, or eager to share their expertise with others, so don't be shy, and join right in! Like to chat? Well we have a thread just for that. New to our club or like to greet others? Check out our Intro thread. Looking for a new anime to watch or manga to read? Head on over to our General Recommendation Thread. Don't see what you want to know? Please feel free to make new threads to get your burning questions asked, or just join in with the others in the comments section!

Yeah, that's why I tend to avoid the really long stuff. I don't have the attention span for it anyway. Like people keep telling me to watch Gintama, but I don't think I could make it through so many episodes.
The resemblance to Allen and Kanda is just...uncanny O.o I haven't seen it, but even I immediately thought that.

I'll probably stick with Kami Memo but....meh. I only like the white-haired guy too and Min is okay. I don't even remember most of the other character's names.

Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with taking stuff seriously, but I think when they start busting out the ninja maid army, it's probably time to just sit back and enjoy the ride, you know? At least Sacred Seven seems to know what it is and just rolls with it. XD
Haha I wish I was more picky, but I tend to watch everything unless I absolutely hate it. I never intend to, but once I start something I just hate not seeing it through to the end. It eats into a lot of my time @_@ *no life*

YESSSSSSSSSSS Penguindrum is awesome!! Those little penguins crack me up, and I really love the two brothers. The yandere girl is funny too...I feel so compelled to root for her and the teacher even though it's probably never going to happen. Even the blond woman is kind of amusing to watch, so I can't even hate her.
No.6 is going well so far. I doubt they'll have it go beyond bromance, but if they did...I could kind of see it working. As long as it tells a good story, I don't mind a little romance on the side, yaoi or otherwise, unless it starts to take over. So far their relationship seems believable and realistic though, so if they actually did end up a real pairing, I have confidence that it would be done in a believable way too.

You mean Kami memo-chou-whatever? Yeah, I'm getting kind of bored with it too actually. >.> I don't really like Alice, the male lead, or any of the mysteries so far.

I think it's okay. It's one of those silly, campy, cheesy shows that you're just supposed to watch for mindless entertainment. Personally, I think the reviewers are taking it too seriously, and I can't really agree with reviewing a series before it's over anyway. >.<
So far I can't in good conscience recommend it though unless you just want to see pretty boys angst (which I enjoy greatly <3 lol )

Right now I'm REALLY enjoying Mawaru Penguinddrum, Natsume Yuujinchou-san, Usagi Drop and No.6 the most. Especially Penguindrum though is really amazing. Kamisama Dolls has horrible animation, but I think it's pretty good for now (I don't know why everyone seems to hate it.)
Oh, and Ikoku Meiro no Croisee is awesome! The main girl, Yune, is so....HNNNNNGH <3

Really? I'm actually enjoying it more than Spring I think, but maybe that's because most of the best stuff from Spring like Tiger and Bunny, Exorcist, and Steins;gate are still going XD

Hell yeah! I only hope the new protagonist is as awesome as Lulu B) The girl looks pretty cool too. It should be interesting at least.

Have you been watching Sacred Seven? The character designs remind me so much of Code Geass. XD

I thought they confirmed there won't be one, but I could be wrong XD At least an OVA is better than nothing.

Unfortunately, the OVA has different people though :/ I don't think Lulu is even in it.

It's so annoying >.< I always forget what episodes I'm on when that happens. It's been on and off like that all week and it's driving me crazy (I go into withdrawl. Haha)
But I guess they do the best they can to keep it running. XD
I kind of prefer the way they ended it with the uncertainty of his death. A third season would probably ruin it. Oh! But at least they're making an OVA soon. :D

I guess he probably cared for Kallen a little, but I didn't think she fit as a love interest. I thought it would have been nicer to have her be the one girl who he's close with as a good friend that isn't in love with him, but whatever XD I KEEP FORGETTING THAT'S NOT HOW PIMPS WORK! lol

I was surprised by how cool Genkaku was. HE WENT OUT LIKE A BOSS!

I felt the most bad for Nagi too. I mean, that guy just has so many problems. I was a bit disappointed with the way they made it seem like Shiro was about to go crazy as the Red Man, only to have Ganta be all like "STEP ASIDE, BITCH! IT'S DEUS EX MACHINA TIME INSTEAD!!"

I used to fangirl so hard over C.C. x Lulu xD I never disliked Kallen, but I never particularly liked her either. I thought her feelings for Lelouch felt a bit forced and kind of unnecessary.

Hm...I wouldn't mind an Anaru show either, but Poppo deserves it. We can only dream T_T
