i've heard from a lot of people there's going to be a second season for d.gray-man
it's just that the anime caught up with the manga, apparently, and they need to wait for the manga to be far far ahead so they can make the series successful and stuff :D

i think you should be reeled into fruits basket quickly.
you might be into it by the second episode, hopefully, and i think shugo chara takes time.
it took me awhile to get into it.

fruits basket is a comedy/romance anime
like most animes, it's slow/somewhat boring at the beginning but if you're patient with it, it gets really interesting.
it's about this girl, tohru, whose mom has recently died, and she doesn't have a dad, so she lives by herself in a tent.
she comes across this one guy, yuki, who has a family who is cursed. she ends up living with them, and she eventually finds out their secret which is; when a member of the opposite sex hugs them, they turn into an animal of the chinese zodiac.
it sounds boring-ish, i think, but i found it really interesting and it's pretty good for an anime made in 2001.
as for shugo chara, um, well, there's this girl, amu, who seems to be cool and spicy' (meaning popular-ish, i guess). everybody loves her, but she's unsure of herself, and she would like to find her "true self aka her identity. with that said, she wishes that she'd find her real and true self.. and three eggs appear, which is unique because usually most people end up with one.
once the egg hatches, you end up with a chara (they're chibi faeries :D) and basically once they hatch, you get the ability you wish to have (like being good at sports, the piano, art, etc)
they also change your personalityyy.
besides all of that though, there's a lot of action, in a little-kid-ish sort of way. (it's not like d.gray-man xD) ii think with the mini summary i just gave you, it might not make sense for the story to have bad peoples and fighting and stuff, but there is.
