Hey Bluesander. I know this is coming off nearly your 10 year comment on Koizora/Sky of Love, but I wanted to thank you for pointing out all the very unhealthy factors about the manga. I love it but it needs to be justified before people venture into the story and how it handles these themes.

For me it's an excellent story and realistic in a lot of ways that I think people don't know about, but the topics that you pointed out are very much a factor on display. To me, the thing that makes the story good is in part sometimes because the main character has to go through all these factors and still shows major courage and tenacity to overcome them. But that said I do fully agree if they were handled in a better way it would have been more effective.

To me, I feel I got caught up in the love of the main character's struggles to overcome too much to really identify that things that happen to her are extremely grave to so many people in real life. In that, I find a middle ground for it to be both inspiring and realistic but also super passive with the actual gravity of the events.

I still really love the story but also understand and agree with most people who call it out for its undermining approach to serious topics like SA and Suicide Attempts. I think it still does a great job of highlighting in my opinion a story about someone who is too good for her own good, but she overcomes even the worst of things, and that to me is where the story I felt made its mark on my heart.

All that said it's good you pointed these things out. Your comment is very fair to the story while also not hiding away from the author's attempts at drama that while can be done respectfully (Bitter Virgin) were not handled nearly as well with care.

I do think I should watch the film's version to see what differences they made.

The only one missing is The Place Promised in Our Early Days; I love Makoto Shinkai so I've already bought the DVD, I only need some spare time in order to see it

However I didn't enjoyed Summer Wars as much as I would have expected :-/ the animation of course was great, but I found the story lacking of poetry, if you know what I mean.
Instead what about 5 Cm Per Second? I really loved it! It's amazing, some scenes seems real photographs *^*

Omg, sorry, I meant manga D:

Anyway yes, please do it, because I'm longing for good anime movies! :D
I've already watched many, but they're not enough xD

No problem. I'm so obsessed with it haha, it's been a while since I've read something that good in general and in BL.

Nice review on Blue Sky Complex c: I don't agree with the other review rated it 7 and calling it average so when I found yours I was relieved. It's been a while since I read something so well written and beautiful. Ichikawa Kei is awesome o/

Maybe, no biggie I added myself again to see if I start receiving them.

Baby steps, and anyway we tend to judge ourselves harsher than others. So, I might think your writing is awesome and you'd still want to improve.

Hopefully. It's up in the air right now because honestly I have no idea what to blog about sometimes. I'm always stuck between letting people know me or just what I'm reading and my opinion on that. I'll have to post something then, even if it's a shout so you could hear :)

Blue!

I hope you're doing great. Can't believe it's been a year since we last exchanged words. Life goes way too fast sometimes. I noticed you changed your blog layout. I hadn't received notifications anymore, I thought you were taking a break for a while there. Very happy to see you're still writing!

Have you been well?

You've been missed. Sometimes when I couldn't put what I felt into words I found them in yours and that's a beautiful gift you have. The gift of you. Cheesy but true.

I don't want to be annoying or anything but I saw your review on the manga sunadokei, can you tell me where did you read all the manga? I can't find any webside that has it complete. :/
Moon_Light Aug 8, 2013 5:03 PM
Forget you? Never!

I took a break from manga but whenever I start them I'll let you know :)
As for dramas...I think it depends on what you like. The last one I finished was "I Hear Your Voice." It was pretty great.
Moon_Light Jul 17, 2013 6:08 PM
I have no idea where I've been. Mostly watching Korean dramas I think. It's easy to get lost there lol.

I miss you too, Blue. I get my fix of you every time you post something. Then I start wondering and reading in between your lines and making my own (multi-dimensions) conclusions on how you're really doing and wondering what you're not saying out loud but still screaming in your head, sorta thing. I think a lot...

I tip my hat to you for all those manga (if i wore hats, I mean). That's impressive. I should ask you for recommendations. And I will when I actually plan to stick to it and read them. I currently suck at that.
