I am an Indian that lives in West Bengal. Anime is not very popular in my country; thus, I grew up as a closet weeb, unable to make friends. If I recall correctly, my first anime was Doraemon, Shin Chan, or Pokemon like every other kid. Though, not to brag about, I was special to get into actual shonen. I discovered anime in 3rd grade. While most of my friends wasted time watching shit Indian cartoons, I discovered an underrated channel called Animax. They broadcasted 2010-2015 animes like Tokyo Ravens, Young Black Jack, Twin Star Exorcist, Blue Steel, and many more. I was so excited to discover and I was so excited to talk about it with my friends, but as always, they were retarded, and can't understand me. Slowly anime disappeared from my life as Animax got banned. It completely disappeared from my life and I even forgot it was called anime for the past couple of years until COVID came. Agh yes, Golden times for me. During the very first lockdown of 2020, I was bored and thought about watching or finishing all my childhood shows like Shin Chan that were reanimated. Slowly I watched Adventure Times, Gravity Fall, etc until I found Avatar The Last Airbender, and yes, that was my gateway to anime. One day I was scrolling through YouTube and found a show called One Punch Man. I gave it a try and thus I rediscovered anime. Next thing I know that I was grinding Naruto. And thus fast forward, here I am now, your cute sussy baka weeb with shit taste that u regret to have :P .

Cyberpunk: Edgrunners

It's rare to see an Anime with such an emotional, beautiful, and impactful story in a dystopian setting like this. It's one of the few times I got a little teary-eyed watching Anime in a long time. In many ways, it's very reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and Redline. Although, It feels like they could have expanded the story into multiple seasons because it is somewhat condensed but that would have ruined the impactful ending. There is a deep melancholy at the end, wanting to see more of the universe once the credits roll, but you know that this is it.

Monster

If you've heard of Monster, then odds are you've probably heard of the incredible hype surrounding it.For a while, Monster has been the absolute critic's darling of anime, being the poster boy for lofty intellectual types. Because of this, it can be very easy to imagine Monster as being overhyped.
But Monster lives up to every word of the praise it gets.
Monster plays out like a macabre game of cat and mouse in a world that is frighteningly similar to real life.Uncomfortable subjects such as coercive human conditioning and the psychology of the sociopath, morality issues regarding the origin of evil and the value of human life, are horrifyingly, yet engagingly, realized. The protagonist, Dr. Tenma, struggles to fix that which is so remorsefully broken in his world. Monster is a chilling tale rooted in reality, a far cry from the superpowers and supernatural forces found in more detached fantasy series. The writing in Monster is exceptional and truly GOAT

For Fans Of Pluto, Gankutsuou.

Vinland Saga

“From the distant north, beyond the frozen sea… They came, bringing with them the black clouds of war.”
This is the tale of Vinland Saga, a sprawling epic penned by Makoto Yukimura that thrusts you into a world drenched in bloody violence and battle-hungry warriors. At least, that is what the manga first introduces readers to. Whereas the anime, produced by Wit Studio with director Shuuhei Yabuta at the helm, decides to take a different approach with the saga by telling its narrative chronologically. Aside from a short battle sequence, viewers aren’t subjected with carnage outright, but a calm and tranquil village on the coast of Iceland untouched by the remnants of war. In doing so, it trades the fast-paced feel of its original story for a more methodical slow burn that fortunately retains enough intrigue and uneasiness to keep it from becoming a tedious watch.
Definitely an anime worth giving a shot.
Great efforts for Studio Wit too.
