Just thought I'd throw out my uber love of Bishounen....

Anywho, I'm a Gemini who's 23 years old, working on an English major with a Creative Writing minor, and in my senior year of college (and the application process for grad school).

I can also speak (and read) a pretty fair amount of Japanese.

I'm striving to read Japanese more fully, because after creating an Adapted Screenplay for the novel; "Fushigi Yuugi: Shouryuu Den" by Yuu Watase... I want to be able to read it better than just borrowing someone else's translation and then editing what I think was translated wrong.

It's my life-long goal to pitch this screenplay... so if anyone can help me out with some Yuu Watase contact information, I'd be much obliged!

As a side note, I spend my free time listening to music (mostly anime, Josh Groban, Gackt, or Tomokazu Seki), writing stories and fanfics (mostly fantasy, and mostly Lord of the Rings / Legolas related), reading fantasy novels (mostly Salvatore's "Forgotten Realms" Drizzt books and Weis and Hickman's "Dragonlance" works involving Raistlin Majere), playing video games (usually the Final Fantasy series), and making music videos (currently, my newest is about Genesis from "Crisis Core" - http://files.filefront.com/Genesiswmv/;9927568;/fileinfo.html )

I've got a black poodle named Guenhywvar, and she actually does what I tell her to in Japanese (she's the smartest dog ever).

I go to school full-time and work part-time in the ICT Office on campus. When I'm at work (but not working) I like to watch anime or work on homework.

But still, the anime is kinda growing on me and they're animating more of the scenes that I liked from the manga = ) Oh yeah, you're in New Mexico, right? I'm here in Southern California so if not Anime Expo, we tend to get a lot of other anime-related conventions all within the Los Angeles to San Diego areas. I went to both Anime Expo and Comic Con last year, but this year I only went to Comic Con. I kinda wanted to go to Comic Con this year but I've already spent so much money and then I gotta ask my aunt in San Diego if me and my friends can stay for a couple days so we won't have to get hotel rooms, etc. Oh well, maybe next year. For the concerts, they didn't have anyone as big as SKIN from last year (Gackt, Miyavi, Sugizo, Yoshiki), but still some pretty well known singers (especially Shoko Nakagawa who sang some songs for Guerran Lagann, Haruhi, etc.) Reply - Anime - Manga

sakura_r0se | 05-27-08, 8:27 AM Thanks for the recommendations! Unfortunately, it's not 'cuz I'm not into anime as much that I haven't seen a lot of anime, but rather I'm just sooo busy. I'd rather read manga since a lot of series are fairly short (mainly 7-10 volumes long) and I can complete them much faster than a 26+ episode anime. Plus for some weird reason, watching can make me sleepy after a long period of time, but not reading, LOL. So even though I have a lot of anime that I have listed in my Currently Watching list, I'm really watching only 2 or 3 of those regularily, the rest I'm behind on already. I tend to go out a lot and plus I work 40 hours a week so I can't always just stay home and watch anime or read manga. Stuff just always comes up for me. How about you? How are you doing lately? I liked the characters, but all the robot fighting was just... ugh >_o Well not everyone knows Japanese XD Unless you made it really obvious or something... did they think you were weird because you used Japanese? I know English majors are in demand in other countries, but it would hard to live in another culture, I think. I heard JET is pretty easy to get into... It's nice to be able to chat w/ someone who's also into Gackt. I first heard of him through my friend who insisted that he is like one of the most beautiful men in the world, LOL. You have to admit, he looks good in a lot of different hairstyles and stuff. The first time I saw Genesis in Crisis Core, I thought to myself, hey, he kinda resembles Gackt. LOL, he IS Gackt! It's cool if not all of your fanfiction is anime-related. I'm not just into anime, haha. I'm actually fairly familiar with most of the stuff that you listed.
