Yeah I actually bought all of FMA, that's how I was able to finish it. Sometimes it's a hassle to torrent stuff but I just recently switched internet providers so my internet is A LOT faster now (went from 1 Mbps to 5 Mbps).
So, it's getting closer to DB's release here in the U.S. Are you still gonna watch the movie in theatres? If you do, you gotta let me know how it is, like if there are even many people in the theatres, LOL.

I agree with you about the whole Asian history thing with the monkey king. Yeah I get the whole "But, he's an alien!" thing a lot. So annoying . . .
But yeah, Bulma doesn't need to be Asian. I think that almost anyone (regardless of race) would have been able to pull off playing her, though she is kinda lacking the blue hair. While full-on blue hair might look freaky in real life, I think that it depends on the person and what shade though.
I've seen a few people in real life that have been able to pull off such outrageous hair colors. They might look silly on the majority of the people, but there are a few that can work it somehow.
LOL at your Trunks comment. Yeah, I would have figured that Vejita's black hair and Bulma's blue would at least make for a child with a darker shade of blue hair or something, but not a totally different color like purple, haha.
You haven't seen all of the original FMA? Well, get going 'cuz April is almost here! LOL.
You know, Hughes was such comedy relief that I didn't think that anything could happen to his character. Guess I was wrong . . . Oh and I don't know if you remember, but in the earlier episodes, that one girl Nina (the one who turned into a chimera by her dad), what happened to her made me all sad *sniffles*

Yeah, I know that Funi's releasing the DB stuff as boxsets, but they kinda irritate me 'cuz FMA for example, they released it as singles, then they had the boxsets/limited edition tins (which was fine).
Then they came out with another boxset version which are the ones I have now (and I just bought all of FMA fairly recently). About 1 week after I completed all of FMA, Funi comes out with an even BIGGER boxset. I mean, come on now. I understand releasing in single first, then boxsets, but how many different times do you gotta release a boxset?
It bothers me 'cuz I like all of my stuff to be consistent looking and if the newer boxsets are better looking, then I have to double dip my money and buy it again. Errr. If they added something more than just a different box design, I wouldn't complain so much = /
I have the bootleg of the DB movie since it came out in Japan already. Horrible special effects = bad DB movie, bad action movie period. Guess it's worth it for the laughs though. Some of the dialog is pretty cheesy, LOL.
I agree that Goku should have been Asian though (or at least someone kinda exotic looking). I don't care what anyone else says. So what if he's an alien? His name's "Goku" for goodness sakes! It doesn't even matter if he's Japanese or not, that just totally screams "Asian!" to me, LOL. He's definitely not green like an alien either . . . he looks just about as Asian as Chichi.

It's so sad that businesses don't think that older shoujo series like FY are marketable anymore (though Viz is re-releasing FY in the VizBig Editions). Though older shounen stuff like Dragon Ball Z will always be marketable in one way or another. How many times does Funimation have to freakin' re-release the anime? LOL.
I hope that the American live-action DB movie turns out decent. My main gripes about it is that it doesn't quite feel like a DB movie. The special effects look good though so we'll see how that turns out.
I used to play Street Fighter when I was younger and mannnn that live-action Chun Li movie DID NOT look like anything Street Fighter related at all. It looks like some random low budget wannabe martial arts flick = (
