10 - Masterpiece. In my opinion belongs on the list of the best TV series/movies ever made, anime or not. If it was a show and it was 200 episodes long, I would buy them all on DVD in a heartbeat. And would be willing to pay OVER retail price for it all, even if I -am- on a budget. As an example: putting forward a $154 bid for Maison Ikkoku box set vol. 8 on Ebay (and I STILL didn't win it!)
9 - Excellent. Perfect in almost every way, just lacking that special quality that pushes it into a "10". If it's a TV show, and I first saw it via Netflix, would without hesitation pay full retail price to own the series.
8- Very good. Something that I may have really gotten into/focused in on while watching it. If I saw it first via Netflix, I'd -definitely- buy the series- but would look for a deal first.
7- Good. An anime I have no problem giving a hearty recommendation for, and would probably rewatch if I had time and there weren't other, even better anime that I wanted to rewatch first. If I first saw it as a rental, I'd probably buy the series on DVD- for the right price. A definite repeat rental, though.
6- Decent. An enjoyable enough but otherwise forgettable anime. May have been a good enough way to spend my time, and I don't regret having watched it, but that's about it. Would recommend it as a rental, and depending on the other person's taste. Would never buy it but might rent it again myself under the right circumstances.
5- Average. Not good, not terrible. Just couldn't get into it for some reason. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but wouldn't -not- recommend it either. Probably won't even give my opinion on the series unless directly asked. If I owned it and I need cash, I might put the DVD on ebay but otherwise not something I think about one way or the other.
4- Mediocre. May have had some good qualities but not enough to override everything else and ultimately something I didn't really enjoy. If a TV series, would seek to finish it only out of hope that it will somehow turn out better.
3- Bad. Just something I didn't like at all, and would have no problem telling that to anyone else. If I owned it, would definitely try to get rid of it on Ebay.
2- Very Bad. Sucked to the point that it truly deserves to be on any list of the worst anime ever made. Not only would not buy or rent it, but would be willing to pay money to have the experience of watching it removed from my brain.
1- Horrible. So bad that everyone on the anime's staff deserves to be fired for even making it. Luckily for the employment of any anime staff, I have only seen 1 anime with a "1" rating- Odin Starlight Mutiny.

anyway I have seen 39 episodes and thanks for remembering me I did forgot to add it 2 my anime list I always forgot 2 upload my list ^-^ !!!!
hahaha, one of the few people who realized where my username came from :P. I love UY, fantastic series, but it's a long series, and I've never found the time to sit down and watch 'em all. But I've seen about 20+ episodes of the show, and 4 out of the 6 movies for it.
The soundtrack is the best thing about the series.
Well I just finished watching Samurai Troopers over Christmas and whenever I get the chance I'm going to watch either Xabungle or Orguss. Not sure which one. I'm watching too much Tokusatsu though. But hey it's 90's Toku so it's like live action 90's anime XD.
