A shy, complexed and un-special female protagonist being dragged into something interesting, and hilarity ensues with said protagonist seeing everything in an overly romantic way. This could leave an impression that Hanayamata, like Hitohira, is a show best suited for girls, with the only difference Hanayamata begins having joy and doing motion after first few episodes, and Hitohira retains more calm and composed.
