Just because Barbara Goodson has had some less than stellar roles does not make her a bad voice actress. I have heard her do some good work in METROPOLIS and a couple of videogame dubs, but she has had her share of misfires too. I personally found her Pazu in the ancient '80s dub of CASTLE IN THE SKY to be completely lifeless and unnatural. I know some people are going to rip on me for this, but I personally thought James van der Beek did a much better job despite making him sound like a teen. I also wasn't thrilled with Barbara's takes as Doris Lang from VAMPIRE HUNTER D or in LOVE HINA, but none of those clunker performances are her fault; bad voice direction is to blame.
So in short, when given the right circumstances, Barbara Goodson CAN turn in effective work, it just depends on the project.

she ruined love hina and dubbed anime in general, well her and inuyasha voice actor in final act. I really didn't think anyone would have anything good to say about her voices but a guess its just love hina she decided to distroy with her rendition of kit.

I was really looking for the the Love Hina dub but when I hear her voice for Kit, it threw me off completely.

After you get used to it, you actually start really loving laharl's voice. Only bad part is that it can take some time in doing so seeing as how newcomers can sometimes be completely turned off by her rather scratchy and sometimes unrealistic voice as seen in her roll of Naota.
Its always a good thing that the voice can fit perfectly with Laharl though. Yes, yes indeed.
