'Burn the Witch #0.8' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, Promo, December 29 Premiere

The official website of the Burn the Witch anime series revealed on Monday additional staff, cast, key visual (pictured), theme song, and main promotional video for the prequel anime. Burn the Witch #0.8 is scheduled to premiere on TV Tokyo and worldwide on December 29.

Subaru Kimura (Jujutsu Kaisen, Akudama Drive) is joining the cast as Shelby.

NiL returns to perform the theme song "PROVE," which is previewed in the promotional video below.

Tatsurou Kawano (Burn the Witch) returns to helm the anime at Studio Colorido and team Yamahitsuji.

The prequel adapts Kubo's one-shot manga which was released on the Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in July 2018.

A 4-chapter manga by Kubo serialized in the same magazine from August to September 2020. Shueisha shipped the volume, including the one-shot, in October of the same year. Viz Media licensed the manga in English and published the volume in the same month.

Studio Colorido and team Yamahitsuji produced an anime movie adapting the 4-chapter series in October 2020. Crunchyroll simulcasts the anime with English subtitles and dub.

@Jonas-K It's been so long since the inital 4 chapters. A while ago they announced that this manga would be released in "season" installments instead of being an ongoing but ever since that nothing happened. And I don't know, but it feels to me like Kubo must have lost passion for this project or something.
