Tyrant just completely reminds me of the Egoist arc in Junjou. The characters are just so similar; the way they act, the way they look, even. (Morinaga practically IS Nowaki) The only difference really is the fact that Tatsumi is straight while Hiroki is gay.

I actually just realized this after I finished Empty Heart. The approach to each story is different, but the way they unfold and carry on are quite similar. Both seme's in the story are named 'Usami' (though that isn't the half of it). Takumi (the story's uke) is in love with his teacher, Jun Usami. Takumi has an older brother named Ryuuta., who Usami is in love with (mirrored to Usami being in love with Misaki's brother Takahiro in Junjo). (I'll refer to Junjo's 'Usami' as Usagi now to avoid confusion.) The approach to both are different. Takumi looks exactly like his brother and seduces Usami into sleeping  read more

They both have a hot and popular writer who falls in love with a college boy. Both have an amazingly adorable love story.

The pairings are with a rich Seme novelist who is socially awkward and rude - at times - but cares deeply for the Uke, and a tsundere Uke who moves in with the Seme and in time form a relationship. I found the art is similar with exaggerated limbs, facial features and spiky hair. In my opinion i like Pure Romance more as YK was too short and with characters who were not as likeable.

Junjou Romantica and Ore ni Koi Shite Dousunda? both have to do with male on male action. Junjou Romantica is shounen-ai (soft) and Ore ni Koi Shite Dousunda is more yaoi (hard). Both mangas have someone denying that they are attracted to the same sex.

They don't have the same story but Baby★I Love You reminds me a little of the relationship of Junjou Terrorist and the difference of ages. Another minor fact, the mangakas of both have that thing of making characters look alike to each other in every manga.

Both deal with trust issues in yaoi relationships (well, relationships in general). 'A Cornered Mouse' is a bit darker and a bit more graphic, but both have an amazing desperation to them.
reportRecommended by Riffs
Both involve a author seme who is socially a-head in class and status, although hides it and avoids parties/events. Both involve a student uke who is inexperienced with romance and love. Both have similar drama scenarios, including acceptance, confusion, miscommunication and third-party conflicts. The only differences are: JR has more comedy and is a longer/on-going series vs KwSdA which is a one volume series and concentrates more on "fluff and heart-warming scenes.

Great yaoi stories of a less then excited uke ^^ But that doesn't mean the seme doesn't try.
reportRecommended by Wolven_Moon
One of the stories has 30+ years old character.

I think that Junjou Romantica and Koi wa Itsumo no You ni are similar because of the following reasons... -Both had cute clueless uke -Uke would worry to much -Cute and Adorable Plotline -Great Art - Both Uke's reactions were cute -The seme is popular -Both have more than one couple

the first story of Candy focuses on a kinda dumb young uke with a older mature seme, both are also very cute and have a interest relationship despite both essentially touching with a lot of bad touches.

Well developed, attractive characters you will get attatched to very easily with a story that will make you smile, laugh, and cry, as you read your way through their relationships.

Shounen-ai; A series that focuses on different couples that are all connected to each other in some way.
reportRecommended by DalPuri
Both are yaoi manga with good plots and relationships between people with large age differences

I'm not sure how no one made this recommendation until now. These books are both surrounding similar themes and familiar environmenta. In fact there are cameos and guest appearances in this manga from Junjou Romantica. Not only are the characters shared in some ways, but also, it's by the same artist too.

Both series feature older, serious semes very much in love with their reluctant, younger ukes. Junjou Romantica is somehow more realistic and Misaki is a much better protagonist being a spunky, funny, more or less normal teenaged boy, providing the quirky Usami with a much needed dose of 'get off your high horse'. It's also hilariously funny. Okane Ga Nai goes the more hyperbolic route featuring the mafia, rape, oh and every man the girltastic Ayase meets goes gay for him. Also funny and surprisingly light and fluffy despite the heavy content.

rich arrogant seme meets/falls for commoner uke (misakixusagi / norioxkunimasa). both series about several couples.

in the beginning of yume you get the same feel as junjo. Yume has less comedy than junjo but the same heatwarming chars. If you loved junjo than this is a must read as well

For one thing, the main story is about a relationship between an author and a student. The author (seme) usually makes it a point that he pleases his lover and most of the time, woos him with colorful words. Also, said author always has this outrageous fantasies with and about his lover which gives the younger lover sort of a freaked vibe. Although the story in Junjou Romantica is a bit deeper and longer, Sakka, Dorei wo Kau (Author's Pet) gives off the feeling of sweetness just like the first manga. If you did like one or the other, I would strongly suggest that you  read more

Pretty much identical to Junjou Egoist's Hiroki and Nowaki. Youhei, assuming he's the younger, is the seme as Nowaki is. Slightly taller than Kaoru, fell in love with him at first sight, dark hair, and completely head over heels for his partner and does anything to please him. Calls him 'Kaoru-san' to Nowaki's 'Hiro-san'. Kaoru, probably older, is on bottom. Brown hair, stubborn attitude, can be grumpy at times and easily jealous about people hitting on his partner after some time. Practically the mirror of Hiroki from Junjou.

Can't believe this hasn't been done. Both of the semes are arrogant romance novelists and both stories are extremely funny, though Junjou isn't quite as insane as Gravitation.

If you liked Nowaki and Hiroki's arc, then you might be interested in Aisaretaino. Though their talents vary, the love story is similar. You got the talented Hakamada who's in love with Izaki, who of course doesn't know this. Izaki, like Hiroki, is unaware of Hakamada's effort to be equal to him even though he is talented in everything he does. I'd spoil everything if I continue so check it out, it's only five chapters.

Both are yaoi and very interesting. Crimson Spell involves some fantasy while Junjo Romantica does not. But both mangas are truly unique and enjoyable.

live for love and junjou romantica is similar in the point when they realize who they love and on how they express their love... in junjou romantica do have 3 stories and in the later part of the sorry you will know how they are tangible with each other.. when real love do come, you will be hit with your who heart!!

Both shounen-ai of course! And also the same idea of having one actual gay guy and another reluctant at first, but then gives in guy.Junjo Romantica is a bit ruder than Kissing but they've both got some good guy on guy action!
reportRecommended by Hitachiin_Love
both are about 3 diferent yaoi love storys in which are some how connected to each other both are cute and will leave wanting moree

erotic ni oborero is similar to junjou romantica because the seme is writting a BL novel about the uke and their s*x life together. although, erotica ni oborero is a little more ......well erotic than junjou romantica.
reportRecommended by melody423
Different BL relationships that connect to each other in some way.

Star na Koi's story and Junjou Romantica's story just look a like. However, Junjou Romantica is way longer than Star na Koi. Rihito and Usagi can only produce money, can't do the chores, even sometimes they can't take care of their own bodies. and Michiru just like Misaki, the ukes love the semes so much, dedicating their live to take care of their partner. such bromantic manga ♥
