(if you didn't read the prequel don't read this contains major spoilers for prequel)
Decided to re-edit this since i couldn't express why I rated this so highly.
I was trying to hard not to spoil anything i ended up writing nothing so here's my second attempt
First off one thing i loved about this is that he doesn't need to relearn to fight he knows how to fight however he can't because of his ki center being broken. I'm sure as soon as he gets his ki center fixed he'll be back to his old self
Story -
The story revolves around the kid this time around instead of his master.
It starts off exactly at the ending of the breaker with the Sunwoo.
Where he is asked to be the Sunwoo Leader because of the Talisman he received from before, while adamant in his decision not to involve himself with Murims he is warned that he is still infamous and targeted by those who seek revenge for what his master has done even though he was deemed normal from the Association.
The Association has their hands full with Goomoonryong so they are unable to help.
Goomoonryong has also attracting many followers who are causing more problems by rampaging the streets brawling with normal people and committing heinous crimes.
after the first few chapters it picks up much quicker than the prequel
perhaps a bit less comedy though it is still there with a touch more romance.
With so few chapters out it is hard to give it an accurate score at this moment however i feel this story has more potential than the prequel
Art -
Loved the artwork it is so detailed, you are never left thinking... Huh? what happened while starring at the artwork trying to decipher it. it is just as good if not better than original.
Characters -
while you may miss some of the old characters like i do
it introduces new likeable characters quiet well. Certain things that happen in main story trigger memories for the new characters and i found this to be very nice while not interrupting the pacing of the main story it gives more info on the new characters.
Enjoyment -
After i got past the rocky few chapters that felt a bit surreal i absolutely loved it I cannot wait for the next few chapters was left at a cliffhanger... woe is me

Let me start that this is a sequel to the Manhwa The Breaker. This being said anyone who plans on reading this story COULD skip The Breaker ( though I suggest not doing so ).
Story - 5/10
I must say The Breaker's story was amazing. It had me sucked in wanting to know what happens next. The Breaker: New Waves dropped the ball horribly here. The plot barely progresses at all as our hero needs to learn to fight again. This seems all fine and good but 30 chapters ( as of me writing this review ) in and you just now have him learning to fight again. I felt the pacing was done horribly for this sequel. Now you may be asking yourself why would I give this a 5 ( mediocre ) and not something lower. The answer is simple , I like how the plot is actually centered around the protagonist now , instead of around his master like the prequel was. Overall I felt the plot is too generic and the pacing is horrible.
Art - 8/10
I really felt that the Manhwa got his drawing style down. The characters I feel have very unique looks and there is never a time where you are thinking characters have the same face just with different hair.
Characters - 7/10
This was so-so for me. I really liked a few of the side characters , and the new secondary protagonist Jinie. I felt that built her up as a likeable character. That being said I really miss characters like Shiho , Chun , and So. They added comedy and PLOT to the story , as the new cast is really lacking. Now the only "major" returning character so far is Shi Lee, the protagonist of both series. In the first series you saw him go from a coward to a semi respectable guy. He keeps that personality but they go nowhere with it. Think Kira Yamata from Gundam Seed vs Kira Yamato from Gundam Seed Destiny to get my point here.
Enjoyment - 8/10
Not much can be said here. I really found myself enjoying the fights more as it didn't have the "super invisible dude has a handicap just to make the fights more interesting"thing going. My only complaint was as much as I enjoyed this Manhwa , I feel nothing has really happened since chapter 3 at all.
Overall -7/10
Honestly speaking if you read The Breaker I suggest NOT going right into this series. None of the questions at the end of The Breaker have remotely been answered , and I feel that they sucked the soul out of the only returning character. That being said I do feel this series is a decent read if you can get past it being ongoing and lacking right now in the plot department. read more

Both are similar. Veritas Looks easier to read. Both this manga are Korean.
It looks like copy of the breaker, a good copy I could say.
2 hero looks to gain the power to protect themselves against the better fighters in Murim or in the martial art world.
Both are martil arts, action, school life Manhwas. The settings are similar but the main protagonists and the plot are rather different. The breaker is darker than veritas. Both have awsome art. If you like one you'll surely like the other one.
Martial Arts, Manhwa, humour. Is like The Breaker.

Both are about martial arts. The protagonists are somehow similar. New Waves has less comedy and is darker.
bot have someone who is bully and wants to be stronger.
