They are both shoujo and the mangas have a prince in them that turns into an adult from being a child at special occasions.

Both are romantic fantasy manhwas. In Bride, the female protagonist is sacrificed to the water god to be his wife. In Masca, the heroine goes on a mission to the demon’s castle. Both characters are horrified of the fate that await them, but find out that the creature they fear the most isn’t what he seems. The two manhwas have beautiful and unique art styles, but Bride of the Water God’s artwork is more exquisite.

In both an immortal guy lost his human lover long time ago and searched for her reincarnation. Both are manhwas with outstanding art, featuring detailed ancient traditional sceneries.

Both have a plot where a young girl is sacrificed to become the Water God's bride. However, in BOTWG there is a more mature setting and the protagonists personalities and appearance differ from the SnH. Nevertheless if you like the premise of one, you might like the other. Both have beautiful artwork.

Both mangas start with the female lead that marries a younger groom through an arranged engagement. In Otoyomegatari Amira is actually very pleased with her husband, while in The Bride of the Water God it takes time for Soah to accomodate with the idea, falling in love with the adult self of her husband, Habaek, not knowing his true identity. In The Bride of the Water God, Soah was used as a bride by the village in order to appease a water god who doesn't give them rain, in Otoyomegatari there is a political context, the marriage uniting a rural town with a nomadic  read more

In both stories, the male leads are somewhat cool and unapproachable at first glance but fascinating as you learn more about them. One manhwa revolves around modern royalty, the other around historical gods and goddesses, but in both cases the female lead comes from an average, humble background and steps right into the center of the manpulation, deceit and relationship troubles surrounding their love interests. While BotWG is decidedly less lighthearted than Goong, they both have their merits, including beautiful artwork!

Both female characters are saved by a person who has other body.Mystery, love story and dragons.

The female protagonist appears to be in their teens while the male protagonist appears to be an obnoxious, arrogant little boy. It's romance between the little boy and the the large girl. The series have a taste of fantasy that will keep your eyes captivated.

When immortality grows stale after the death of a loved one the main characters continues to search for those who are reincarnated.

The relationships, characters and plot are really similar

The story is not simillar but the setting is. In both Manga and Manwha the male lead is a younger person. However in BOTWG he becomes only young in the day time. Also the artwork is very breath-taking than dear mine.

a fantasy-historical manhwa where a girl enters a whole new world and becomes the bride of a god. this is a more mature manga though, not as light-hearted as crazy girl shin bia

In reality the stories are quite different. The bride of the water god is a story that most likely takes place in historic Korea. The female lead also is married to a god, who is a man in a child's body. It's very magical, or fantasy, based. While on the other hand Pellua Iyagi takes place in what seems like in medieval France or England. The female lead is a women born with everything and the male is a count of a foreign country. It is more realistic than the bride of the water god. When reading Pellua Iyagi, I couldn't help but be reminded  read more

Love stories between mortal humans and immortal gods.

These manga have romance between immortal characters and gorgeous, heavily-detailed art.

they remind me of each other because the main girls in each are being sacrificed for a god, though in red soul the girl is being sacrificed to a god of death and loves a human named kiron, and in BWG she gradually falls in love with the god

Both of the brides are forced into undesirable marriages, both have lovely artwork.

The Bride of the Water God and Hana to Akuma both contain a human girl in love with a demon

Both josei manhwas * are romantic fantasies  * deal with intrigues and sensuality * have a naive female lead who is unaware of the true identity of the male lead * have scheming female supporting characters * have bishounens who are interested in the female lead

Both have in common a feudal world where gods and humans exist, and in both the same love triangle: a guy who lost the girl he most loved, and later he starts falling in love with another girl, but then his ex lover is ressurected.

Similarly great art and sweet love stories where main characters never seem able to be together...

Two beautifully-drawn, mystical manhwas that are worth reading. the humor is similar and so is the tone.

two stories have beautiful artwork, a mix of mysticism and romance and a lead female character who is a regular person thrown into high-society life at court

Both have Outstanding Artwork in a supernatural/romance plot with an immortal non-human guy as main protagonist. Also both feature ancient traditional scenery and setting.

You wonder why I'd reccomend two shoujo that are nothing alike. Well let's see: - You like elaborated artwork? - Lovers striked by tragedy? - Supernatural worlds with amazing sceneries? Then you will definitely enjoy both: while BOTWG brings us an ancient korean-like setting where a god falls in love with a human girl and both have to fight and overcome difficulties in order to stay together. KKT brings a similar concept in a different futuristic world that conceives supernatural elements inside sci-fi and where a human boy falls for a goddess. The plots are different but the aim of these works are to show the struggle of the  read more

Art in both is awesome and the heroines look kind of similar. The plot in The Bride of Water God is more interesting.

Both have similar feeling to it - god/demon in love with human girl, scheeming and stuff.

Mythical creatures and a human child. Bride of the water god is more mature whereas land of silver rain is more on the cutesy kidish side. (:

~ Intriguing at it may sound and complexities surround, read through it and you will find. At first glance, I can tell that these two have quite some similarities. Both are manhwa that separate its bound on the typical book you read. The art is stunning and the characters are beautiful. Although the plot is different from on another they have the slow paced mood kinda relax atmosphere in them. The story doesn't reveal much to what is actually there is to know, but every chapter contains excitement as you progress through it. The characters background isn't clear and one may find it confusing,  read more

Initially i decided to read sakura-hime kaden because i was really into the bride of the water god and it wasn't completed so i was craving for more. I found that both plots were very unique and involves gods, celestial beings, etc. It was also historical so that made the sceneries even more breathtaking! Well both are must reads!
