Superpowers, where would we be without them?
Probably in a more stable world but hey, it's never boring.
So let's meet Mr. Delinquent, Mr. Eiji Asuma, so what is his superpower?
Is it like Superman?
Batman?
Something-or-other-man?
No, it is his diarrhea-inducing (a step above stomach-churning) freaky right hand. So what's so sick about THE HAND? You see as he touches objects (and people) he can see flashes of memories {the next stalker tool}; anyway, see there is this slutty policewoman that really needs someone to tap on her shoulder and tell her that she looks like she works at the red-light district who looks up Mr. Hand and tells him his power is called psychometry and he has to help her with her case and once he looks at her chest; (like any horny teenager) says yes.
And so on and so forth.
What I honestly liked most about this story wasn't the main character or the slutty policewoman but the main character's best buds. Their personalities stood out more since there were more details than one would expect from such a Manga, they were full of life and they felt like buds. They had that kind of atmosphere around them.
The art AND story completely went down hill from volume 13 onwards; it got so bad that I couldn't suck it up. There is a line, a very clear line, between when I can suck it up and when I can't and it just crossed that line.
Not only did the art's quality go down but the story as well?
Goodbye.
The art (in the beginning) was proportionate, detailed and was in that 80s-90s style that I like. It took a lot of effort to draw all that but it was worth it. Definitely. So when I reached volume 13, I went 'What the Hell?!'. The difference between the effort put into the art previous and at and after volume 13 is repulsive.
I do not especially recommend this Manga because although it has great characters, it's a bit typical and lacked the needed suspense. read more

Both have people with psychic powers aiding police officers to solve hardcore crimes. In particular, both of these series have very interesting and complex criminal investigations and a hint of romance.

Both are great paranormal crime dramas where people with some sort of psychic ability aids the police in solving well conceived, realistic crimes. Psychometrer Eiji is a bit more to script, with the only paranormal elements being Eiji's Psychometry, or ability to see visions when touching objects. SID is a little more fantastical, with action and shamanism, but still has very realistic crime situations, with the main character being a police detective before he's anything else. Both great reads, if you like one, check out the other.
