| How could you not see that coming? Of course Natsu was going to beat Luxus. The method - if that's what you're talking about - I'll say was pretty surprising. Using a technique of a dragon slayer (which makes sense) to defeat Luxus. Well whatever, I just hope after this arc, Mashima actually begins to throw in some kind of meaningful plot in the next. |

| I think it'd be more awesome if Natsu couldn't stand a chance against Luxus.. It'd be great for character development especially. But "Nooooo", Natsu is the "MAIN" character, he can't be defeated by someone who's obviously a zillion times stronger than him... Extremely disappointed......0_0 |

| Again I must say, the end result is expected and obvious. But,the fighting style to defeat Luxus is unexpected. I think this series will be very good and enjoyable if it's adaptation to an anime. Because it's more focuses on fighting instead of storyline IMO. |

| *pant* *pant* *pant* If you get the meaning. :) Well, Natsu's win was like always out of nowhere, simply because he is a main char, but, it was kinda cool, like a super-uber-ultimate-friggin-awesome-overkill-technique. :D |
| Finally Luxus is defeated... Nice Dragon Slayer technique there, Natsu. I wonder if next week's chp gonna focus on the Master dying and receiving the news of Luxus being defeated or something. :P If he really dies, who do you think is gonna lead the guild? :P Erza? |

| the technique and all that beating up surprised me. so that would mean that natsu is now definitely in the highest ranking class with ezra/mistgun etc. for some reason natsu reminds me of goku or just dbz in general. |

| Glad Natsu finally put Luxus out of his misery or rather down for the count, nice finishing move Natsu used. It makes sense, Dragons being weak against Dragon Slayer magic. Alright, next chapter should deal with aftermath and Makarov's condition. |
| Ah man I'm so sick of these typical shounen fights. I need to go read some real manga. Also how many times do you guys need to compare a series to DBZ? :/ |

| It was kind of weak that Natsu just won due to being more durable than Luxus. Not much of a reason why he was able to get up. Oh well got a nice bit with Gazille playing the role of a lightning rod. For someone bound to betray them he's not a bad guy. Will see how things progress from here. Sometimes just have to enjoy seeing Luxus get beaten. After all he did that was satisfying in itself. |

Thats how most of "even" real life battles relying on strength go. Considering that was dbz-flex-the-powerlevel type fight, not surprising. And Gazille is Vegeta, of course he will betray them, just so he gets a no-limits fight with GokuNatsu. Overal while this arc IS on its own, it developed the main plot too, as much as opening new threads (gerard-like mistgun, Makarov dieing, gazille's allegiance). I would equal it to dbz "budokai" episode arcs. |

| It would have been better if Natsu had lost. I hate it when the main character wins every battle. At least let him lose, then maybe he could have beaten Luxus later in the manga. |

DBZ was the first shounen manga I read. (screw the anime.. the manga was actually GOOD) It's the basis to EVERY shounen manga I read now.. (Fairy Tail has actually worse fighting sequences than DBZ) |

Natsu actually killed that ULTIMATE SUPA BOSS >>>>> Gerard... so of course he would beat that Lightning DJ kid...like come on gerard was one of the 10 strongest mages in the world using and ultimate power up and all so against someone like Luxus it shouldn't take more than 10 secs for Natsu to beat the crap out of him... Anyways I hope we go back to "salamander" and the other dragons... |

| To be fair Luxus did use Fairy Law earlier in the fight, I can imagine a spell that big would burn up a LOT of his reserves. |
