 The official website of Nakajima Megumi has announced that she will put her music career on indefinite hiatus in 2014. She will continue her career as a voice actress. Nakajima is best known for her debut role as Ranka Lee in the 2008 series Macross Frontier.Nakajima's third and final album "Thank You" will be released on February 26, 2014. She will perform her final concert on March 20, 2014, which will be held at the Nippon Seinenkan in Shinjuku, Tokyo, where she made her professional artist debut in 2007 during the Macross 25th Anniversary Concert. | One thing that tsubasalover's first post did not make clear is that she would suspend singing as "Nakajima Megumi". The implication is that singing as an anime character is not ruled out. So her music career has not completely ended. Singing as, say, Ranka Lee should be perfectly fine. But I would agree with most people here that the news came as a shock and the lack of reason (she did not disclose any on her blog either) only fuels speculations. |
