| This would've been a lot better if they didn't try to make it seem like the games and then ruin every battle by following no kind of logic. It's cool to stretch a few things to emphasize the friendship theme but it went far, far beyond that for seemingly no reason. And I don't know why they reversed the order of Lavender Tower and Silph Co either... |

| The nostalgia man, holy cow. Could have done without the Mega Evolution stuff since its not in this generation so it didnt make much sense having it here but it was still pretty cool to see animated. 8/10 |
| The Mega Evolution didn't even bother me. My beefs are with a supposedly experienced trainer with a lot of badges doing stuff like using normal moves against rock types (when he has a Fighting type move). And a freaking Rhyhorn rampaging over Red's entire team, and outrunning Pokemon due to plot convenience. Just give that role to Nidoqueen or something instead. Just doesn't feel like Pokemon Red at all. |

| Really wish this was a proper series but it was pretty good watch nonetheless. I'm guessing Mega evolution is from the newer games I've only played up to diamond and pearl, then my DS broke. |

| LMAO Green's reaction is so justified. That was just stupid. I was fine with the pacing until now. I really wish we got to see the full match of Red vs. Green. It had such a hype start with Green's monologue, but the rushing made it super anti-climatic. God, Oak favors Red so much it isn't even funny. Tells him not to even both worrying about his seriously injured grandson and is more concerned about seeing Red catch Mewtwo. So they think there are only 149 Pokemon? I clearly saw a Slowking in the Hall of Fame, plus Kalos was brought up. Nice episode. This series was a cool bit of fanservice. 6/10 |
| the mega evolution was so awkward to see in a special that's all about gen1 but oh well! it looked cool kinda wish red had been entirely unable to catch mewtwo LOL he's like 10 years old he doesn't deserve to be able to command mewtwo, he's way too majestic |

| Red did something even Ash couldn't do, catching more than half the pokedex entries worth of pokemon I wonder why Red didn't use the three legendary bird pokemon, the mega-evolution caught me a bit off guard |

| No idea of why this was made. The first episode was fine, the rest are terrible. Besides several timeskips, the second episode was kinda boring, the third was stupid and the last was anticlimatic. It doesn't help they treat Pokemon like this shit here unlike in the original series. 4/10 for the anime. |

| Very enjoyable for what it is. Its a must watch if you enjoy Generation 1 pokemon games. I recommend watching it in English dub, very nice dub |

| Well this was definitely a trip down memory lane, I may not be the biggest fan when it comes to the Pokemon games and I can't say I haven't played them and I have at the very least but I think this is certainly the version of Pokemon that I remember from the games. Why can't the regular anime be like this? Ash? Pfft, he's got nothing on Red, he might as well be still in the nursery compared to him, cuz Red does what Ash couldn't, complete half a Pokedex, disband Team Rocket, become League Champion and even capture quite few legendary Pokemon including Mewtwo. Throughout this I enjoyed this quite a lot though it was short in length it definitely did it's job where it's a faithful adaptation of the games. I'd say if you are a Pokemon fan, go give this a worth look. 8/10 from me. |

| Mega Evolution is something odd to throw into this series considering it's something we haven't seen yet nor was it in the early games but it was definitely cool! Fantastic entry into the Pokemon franchise though. Really exciting battles to watch and the animation is just fantastic. It's so nostalgic just watching the games and anime you grew up with be combined into something great. Especially after having seen everything up until Best Wishes and re-watching this after 10 years. |
