Hello,

For some time I've been looking for new Shounen Anime/Manga series that I should start as I realized that my most favourite ones are coming to a sudden end very soon.

My first and most loved one is Naruto, with Soul Eater by its side. Both od these are coming closer and closer to an end ( SE's ending this month... : < ). I'm also reading Bleach, but you know, it's now the same "old" Bleach as it used to be, and it seems as it won't last that long as well. I'm trying to come back to One Piece, starting from 654 chapter where I ended last time, but I never had a strong connection to this series as it lacks something to me. And don't bother to tell me to try out Fairy Tail - it's not my type at all...

So I'm desperately looking for a new Shounen series that is still going on and might be just my new "Naruto" : )

I'm not looking just for great fights and remarkable characters, but most importantly - Story. Something I hate in Fairy tail - the story could start and end at any point and you won't loose that much at all. Every arc is different, but they are not that much connected to each other, so basically it's a story about everything and nothing at the same time. Unlike Naruto or/n Soul Eater, or Bleach, story is building up form the very beginning for a great climax, revealing the main villain or sth like that. It helps in building up the atmosphere and the whole Story benefits from it.

Another thing - Emotions. Not just emotions of loose and death, but I really like to see as people interact with each other, for eg. partners in SE. They share a strong connection, and I enjoy every moment that is just about it.

So, if there is any Shounen series that may fit my requirements, tell me about it!

Thanks for your time and help : )

Well, Hunter x Hunter - I tried it once, and it didn't catch me that much. Well, I think I might just as well try to attach myself to Fairy Tail/One Piece... So sad Soul Eater will end : /

InuYasha.

It's kinda old, but it's a classic and really fits your specifications. If you don't mind a big MacGuffin hunt story that is.
(Now's the part where you argue with my opinion.)

I would go with Hunter X Hunter. It's probably as close as you'll get to something similar to Naruto. Magi is another good character driven shounen series that's going on now. I've been recently getting into it.

Imo,the best shonen anime ever made are Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter 2011.

Hunter x Hunter, unlike the regular shonen,is story-oriented. There are few battles, and the plot is amazing and really umpredictable. Plus, every arc has his own atmosphere: the first arc is adventurous, the second reminds tournments of Dragonball and Yuyu Hakusho, the third is dark and seems like a gangster/noir movie, the fourth is like the good version of Sao,and the current arc is brutal and dark, humans gets eaten ecc. These features make hunter x hunter the best shonen ever, imo.

@OP: So you haven't seen the ending of Soul Eater yet? I don't wanna spoil you or anything, but prepared to be disappointed. I was.

@Topic:

Try Getbackers - very underrated show, but IMO it's even better than most mainstream Shounen right now.

You could aslo try Groove Adventure Rave, which is very similar to Naruto/One Piece/Fairy Tail. It's from the same creator as Fairy Tail, so the art/animation is pretty much similar. The MC is also a LOT like Naruto and Luffy. Try it!

Oh... My... God... I jsut saw the ending... Ehh, could be worse : p
Well, it wasn't bat at all, but I still want to see more of this world, and BS+Tsubaki : )

Back to the topic - Well, for now I'll jsut read some of Fairy tail, starting from Magic Tournament ( where I finished last time ) and watch few episodes of One Piece. I think that the right series will come out just right in time for me, so I won't rush it : )

Anyway, thanks for your help and recommendations, if you have any more I'd be glad if u posted it here.

Fullmetal Alchemist 2003
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

They're very different from each other.

There's also Tegami Bachi; the manga is better than the anime.

I'm with everyone else on the Hunter x Hunter 2011 it's my favorite shonen right now. The quality we are getting 92 episodes in is pretty dam crazy. Also try to watch at least 10-15 episodes because once the yorknew city arc begins it gets amazing.

This. Yorknew City is the best arc I've ever seen in a shonen.

Hunter x Hunter (2011), try the first 3 episodes at least, until Hisoka and Killua appear. And yeah, Yorkshin (ep. 40-60) is one of the best shounen arcs you'll ever see.

If you read manga then try Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. DO NOT try the anime if you want good shounen, 'cause the anime was just another crappy adaptation of a great manga.
