| I liked last week's episode more but this one wasn't bad either. It's one of those shows that makes you impatient for the next episode to air. Too bad it's only going to be 12 episodes long. If they don't cover everything in the manga, I'll go ahead and read that. |

| Oh god Tomoko, you are so painful to watch, which is why I can't stop watching this show. How the fuck Tomoko could even think about working as a cabaret girl and wandering into the red light district at night is a little far fetched to me. But I can totally relate to how Tomoko tried to order a cappucino - ordering stuff from a coffeeshop when you know absolutely nothing about coffee can be pretty intimidating. Oh and thanks a lot to the person who said chapter 11 of the manga was disgusting, you made me go and read it - angryface.jpg. |

| Watching her get pictures taken by herself was the most cringe-inducing thing ever (although not as much as her dad finding her asleep with BL and a vibrator). This episode was kinda boring and slow for me. Hopefully the next one will be better! |

 I guess Tomoko has one skill down pat: making troll faces. She probably means well, but I think that a lot of people will not think of someone as cute and cool when you make such faces. And it's becoming clear that her lack of social skills has made her incredibly naive. I mean, she takes advice from a TV show to heart and wanders in to a red light district, a place where a high school girl shouldn't even be caught dead at. Fortunately, Lady Luck manages to prevent anything bad from happening to her, but someone needs to give this girl some proper guidance, and fast, before she really does something she'll regret later. Still, her misfortune is still good for plenty of laughs. Like when the music suddenly sobered down after Yuu told her she was too busy to hang out with her, leaving Tomoko crushed. The scene at the cafeteria was quite saddening to watch, especially when she adds all that stuff in it, making it even more undrinkable (to her anyway, I love a good cup of cappuccino). And seeing her fall of the chair was both funny and gut-wrenching. And then those photos. Acting cutesy is clearly not her forte. And any cute-ish face she makes is cringe-worthy. I'm sure a lot of people would find them (and Tomoko as a whole) immensely creepy. And to top it all off, we get another out of place ED that fits the scene so incredibly well. If the predictions are true, then I have a really hard time understanding why not more Japanese people like this show. |

Also, in regards to the episode: It seems like the funny is going down and the cringe/feels are going up. I don't know how much more I can handle :P I understand that insecure/anti social tendencies, but it's a big world and it seems glance over certain small things. For example, shes in the same classroom with the same people yet, barely anyone has tried to talk to her or invite her to something. I don't know, maybe it's more of a cultural thing and people don't butt in? The show would really open up for me if we got other peoples view of her. Yeah, it's a comedy, but I don't think it's for me. Especially since no one has been able to answer if it gets better for her, I figure it doesn't. So I guess I'm out. |

This not limited to Tomoko or people like her, it is human nature, that is why there is a bunch of "magic" products on cable tv to lose weight and people buy them knowing damn well that (unless you have some condition like a damaged thyroid gland) all you need is to stop eating junk and do some moderate exercise. I could fill complete pages with similar examples. |
