| Well, there are quite a few VNs that I have read mainly for H-scenes, but I never read solely for those. Even in nukiges I want some basic storyline and characterization, without them the H just isn't interesting. Junketsu Karyuudo is probably the only exception - I liked it even though it's as plotless as it gets. But well, it's full of scenes with virgins getting Yuri-raped, that's one of the best kinds of H available. ^^ |

| well i'm not playing VN for H scenes. i mostly chose the ones with deep story. and playing them for other elements. playing solely for H scenes is useless.you know i can't tolerate these things without animation. and of course i can't endure the pain of hearing heroine's annoying whines. |

| I played Boob Wars for the H-Scenes...but then there wasn't much more to it than that. I only played the Pettanko side...Teresa was so adorable in that game that I couldnt go through with any of the others lol. |

Seriously, why are like half of the so called "VN players" like this? Still the question is kind of wrong. Unless you mean as in playing something long with mostly non ero content just to see some cgs or something. Obviously you would play a nukige for the porn, but there is more to it than that (or at least should be). It is the "erotica", an erotic story and I can ascertain that for it to be good, there needs to be a bit more to it than just what goes on in the h-scenes. It might not even be the best part of it. And by that I don't mean some kind retarded "story", but things like exploration of fetishes, how the characters experience it and the general tone of how it's portrayed. For people who are smug about it, they wouldn't know the difference, but it certainly does matter for the more experienced pervs. |
| Not really. I mean its happened but I don't enjoy it. For me to enjoy h-scenes I have to like the romance between the couple...or at the very least really like the girl for who she is. In which hell yeah I love me some h-scenes. Now there are plenty of VN's I play where I quickly get motivated to see H-scenes. |

| Fate/Stay Night was the first VN I've "read". The only reason why I played it was for the H-scenes. It turned out to be a really bad decision... I thought I could just do like 1 minute of "full power botton-pushing", but it took me a LOT longer than i expected. It was NOT worth it, and now I've totally ruined what could have been a good experience :/ Now i play Visual Novels in good old fashion :D (and for other reasons than just H-scenes) - If I'm horny and I need some H-scenes fast, I play the ones that have H-scenes like every 5 minute (like Boob Wars or Throb!) :P |

| Probably Hitozuma Hime Club. I don't understand all this h-scene hate going on I really don't like vn's or anime that decide to spend hours and hours developing romances with two characters but in the end they just look like two very good friends I think a h-scene or at least kissing scenes develops the romance and shows us that these aren't a bunch of kids (mentally). Well that's what I think. |
| For sex scenes, there must be a balance between randomly throwing junk at the screen for fans and ones that actually fit with the plot. So imo there are good and bad ones. |

But yeah not having them is like having all the build up to an epic fight in a shounen anime and then afterwards it doesn't show them fight and is just like "yeah they fought, he MC won, you know the gist" You don't want that, you wanna see them fight! And that's why I feel like romance visual novels without a sex scene or at least a supreme ichaicha scene are lacking something. |

| Well yeah FSN writer obviously just threw them in because he was forced to have them in order for his game to be marketable. It's a shame when visual novels have those, but I can forgive when I know the reason behind them. Plus it's a story based game anyway with romance not given much focus. It's a much bigger problem when a romance/character relationship focused game has forced hentai scenes (Like Tapestry). Because then it feels like they are half-assing the romance and it ultimately makes the entire relationship harder to enjoy. |
| There are some games out there , like FSN, that have a very good story that shows great character development and keeps you interested most of the way through but also have a clearly forced h-scene. I find myself thinking that the people who wrote the game clearly know what their doing and have an eye for good writing and yet they don't seem to see that it feels unnatural and forced. Like with FSN they clearly had a lot of opportunities and they had the creativity to do the h-scene well and not forced so it just seems like a wasted opportunity to make a much better game. |
| The h-scenes in Fate are forced in Saber and Rin (specially Rin!) routes, but in Heaven's Feel they fit in well with Sakura and the story. Still it's not a game which I'd recommend for h-scenes... |

| Even though the h-scene was defiantly forced I will always prefer saber over rin and sakura, I kind of feel that shirou feels more in regards to saber than the other two. |
| I will say I enjoyed Rin's sex scene even if it defintely could have been way more natural. I will be a Rin shipper until the end of time in the Fate universe though, so yeah. Guilty pleasure it was. It's hard to tell how much Shirou feels for anyone due to his persona unfortunately. |

| I'm not sure if you guys have played it, I'm assuming you have, but I found that Grisaia no Kajitsu had some really fluid and well done h-scenes. Of course though this does depend on the arc you're doing and there are a few perhaps could have had some more work done but overall they all felt a hell of a lot more natural than FSN which really just seemed to want to fill the criteria for being an eroge. |
| uh well sure, Grisaia's are good but that's a genre where it's perfectly normal to have H-scenes blended in, noone would ever complain about that If My Heart Had Wings had some really good ones imo Kamidori as well |

| I was really suprised at the quallity of Kamidori h-scenes. Usually with those types of games they try to cram as loads of rubbish short ones in after every battle, but they did have better quality that I expected from the genre. |

| Though honestly I always find it amusing. You play a VN that takes itself seriously with its characters that has sex scenes. So it's kind of fun to imagine what degree they'll be ok with in a sex-scene (because in the more silly ones they'll basically do anything). Well as long as its not too out of character that is. |
