I noticed that no matter how big my signature is, it always seems to be capped at roughly 450x120. Just a while ago I tried uploading a 500x200 and again it got resized down to roughly 450x120. Not only that, it cuts the size down from the bottom up, so the extra 80 pixels from the bottom just disappears rather than the entire length of the picture being shrunk. I see other people on the forums with signatures much larger than 450x120, is there a way to make mine larger?

It's probably cropping/scaling it down to stay within the 600x140px signature limit. Of course it tries to preserve a 1:1 ratio.

Also, its cutting your signature because of the words you have above the image. It's counted in the size limit.

If you want to keep your picture, scale the size down so the height is less than 140px. You may have to remove the words above or reduce their size using bbcode if you want to prevent your signature image from being cut off.

I see, I didn't know that the text also counted in the size limit, thanks!

Yeah well the maximum signature limit is 600 x 150 and a one line text, so it cuts off the signature at 160px. If you want text and a max pic(600 x 150) then you use BBcode and make the text smaller to minimize the cutting off.

Are you talking about the max limit? Luna_ told me that it's 600 x 150(300kb or less) and you get one line, that's why it cuts off the signature at 160px tall.

What is the limit to the text size if I were to use a 600x150?

I have found that having a 150px tall signature and regular size text, the pic gets cut off by like less than 10 px, so I always lower the text size to about 70 or 80(I don't remember exactly), to minimize the cut offf. You can keep one page open and experiment a little to find the maximum text size without cutting off anything.

You can't really, but you can delete the sideways Myanimelist words and the words at the top that says HeySayJesKuh's Recently Watched Anime.

Maybe you can't using your settings, it looks like you're using the custom settings. I took mine off because I wasn't using the custom settings, but then you wouldn't be able to upload your whole pic like that unless you use the custom settings.
I had to cut mine up.

What is a good resolution for a signature? Is there a limit, what would be something good?
