Therefore there were some new scenes and footage included in the film run. The 1st film covered episodes 1~8, so some scenes were cut out. The good thing with 2 films is the improved animation, artwork, voice acting, etc, and as I mentioned before some new scenes/footage. I'd recommend that you still watch the 2 films if you are a fan of the series, but no you don't need to watch the 2 films before the 3rd film. The 3rd film is a sequel to the TV anime. |

I remember when earlier a profile about a "new mahou shoujo" for the new movie was circulating around in internet, complete with even pics that looked like clippings from magazine. There were even details about how she would contradict what Homura believed after the ending of the TV series and how her power was mental attack. It all proved to be fabrications by some trolls but a lot of people did fall for the hoax. |

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
