Fate/Zero doesn't really belong here as its first half, S1, is a totally 2011 title! ~,~' No wonder some nominators were making a distinction with S2. (Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun also had the same number of nominations as Fate/Zero, but the poller decided to merge that count with the Fate/Zero S2 nominations.)

I enjoyed Sword Art Online, but I'm pretty much aware that it's just an acquired taste for the gratuitous elements involved.

Kokoro Connect is entertaining, but it feels bluntly unoriginal.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai is a flashy fantasy ride into the realms of an escapist's imaginary world, but it goes lame at some of the serious parts. (The younger sister's "playing house" antics are worth the laughs though.)

Kuroko no Basket was fresh and even has rewatch value.

Hyouka has the cute curious character and the deductions are cool, but the separate segments are fragmented and don't flow so well.

Nisemonogatari is fan service deluxe, but doesn't have the same level of tension as Bakemonogatari.

Naysayers almost effortlessly make the possible seem impossible since they usually just parrot generalized, oversimplified, or uninspired arguments. However, the proper, but significantly more difficult way to refute an idea is to discredit all major and most minor cases. In contrast, a single convincing solution can prove feasibility though it isn't a trivial pursuit either.

^Sorry for the late reply. I thought of Fate/Zero as spanning on both years, as the second season continues the events of the first. I also assumed that most people know that only the second series aired in 2012 and that they are either referring to the anime as a whole or only to that. I don't think someone just decided to nominate solely the 1st part. I'm sorry if I offended you.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

When does the poll end?
SAO can't, for the sake of humanity, win this.

@Motion_Menace, don't worry. I was merely stating a technicality. If you take a 2-season title as a whole, then I would think the starting episode would be the basis. For Fate/Zero that would be October of 2011 so Fate/Zero (S1+S2) is a 2011 anime, ne?

On the other hand, if you only take S2 so it would be a 2012 anime, which is what is getting polled, then Uchuu Kyoudai should also be up there. Hmm, shouldn't it be up there anyway since they all had 6 nominations (along with Hyouka)?

Note: I didn't include rafi160's because it was over 5. I still added Drzlink's because the extraneous nomination at least seems to have been somewhat segregated.

@DJIzzyIzzyHitler, Sakamichi no Apollon (aka Kids on the Slope) along with Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou only had 4 nominations each--1 vote below Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun which also didn't make the cut.

I'm probably one of few people who thinks that it doesn't mater what anime wins, since for me all of those nominated were great. :P

I'm the exact opposite, I didn't care which anime won because none of them were great.
