| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This first episode of the second season completely disappointed me. Graphics; Characters are drawn with less detail and more muscles. I think they just thought that more muscles are better, because people are watching this show only to see muscular men killing each other. Changes on Baki; In the first season, Baki was an ambitious shounen who was mastering martial arts in order to catch up with his father. Now, he is a show boy, fighting in the ring. His behaviors are very conceited. Taking "his girl" to the show part was very ridiculous; old Baki wouldn't do such a thing; if he wanted her to go with him, he would have kindly invite her to the Tokyo Dome. The old kind Baki is completely gone. They tried to make him more charismatic, but looks like they failed. | That CGI OP, still better than Berserk xD Definitely prefer 1st OP, this one didn't match Baki's atmosphere Oh hey it's the most famous anime arc.. Tournament Arc :P Nice to see Hanayama Kaoru again, ofc after he was beaten to pulp by Baki's father :P Looks like Kozue is scarred for life.. kinda Also ED.. Why? It might be nice song.. but this is so far the most incompatible song with anime like this |

| Hopefully they don't put cgi in this season because looking at the opening animation it looks pretty horrible Looks like we got a tournament arc, nice warming up episode for Baki, can't wait for when he starts his first match |

| The OP certainly didn't age well lol. Good action in the first episode. Baki probably realized he couldn't keep hiding that he was a fighter from Kozue so he just ended up showing her what he does. |

| YOOOO I got so shook with that OP thinking this whole season would be in that poorly aged openings animation style, so glad it's the same style as season 1. Great first episode. |

| Terrible introsong with ugly style of animation (that thankfully isn't used in the actual episode). I've seen ps3 cutscenes that looked better than this.If that ain 't bad enough, it's followed up by one of the most mediocre fights between Baki and a guy, that's basically a watered down version of the big Pro Wrestler dude from season 1. This feels more like a "filler-battle" between real fights, than an opening to a new season of Baki. Also, no hot mom to keep us interested this time around. But jokes aside, something interesting needs to happen quick. What a boring start. |

| Surprisingly a good start for a season, I don't get the hate. Yes, I do still believe 13 years old Baki was the best version of himself yet, however, this new edgier, more determined Baki reflects well on what happened to him in the second half of the first seeaso. Also, the part of about dreams was one of my favorite moments in this series, along with the montage prior to Baki fighting Hanayama the first time. |
