Totally forgot about him too! I was even hoping before that he will join the baseball team. I'm glad Shimizu decided to go to the other school where she can play softball rather than going to Kaidou where her only reason will be because Goro is there.. |

| One of the things I love about this show is how it covers a large time period . . . However, while I realize this would probably make it more cliche (and perhaps less realistic), I kind of wish that there was a core cast of characters that always played with Goro instead of him always having new teammates. It kind of makes me sad seeing things like Komori getting left behind. It would be cool if I could get attached to other characters as well. Although again, I bet this would actually backfire and I probably wouldn't like it either . . . But just a whimsical wish, especially since in baseball manga I love when the battery at least kind of team up together. I mean I am ecstatic that Toshi and Goro are finally going to team up, but I can't shake the feeling that this will only be through high school, and then once again they will be rivals. |

| damnit, Gorou had to be the classic dense main shounen character. well, on the other hand, i commend kaoru for her decision. Softball over love, eh? that was probably the best choice at this point in her life. |

Now, Toshiya and Goro can make their duo! I'm pretty hyped to see a genius catcher with a genius pitcher playing together. |

| Shimizu's character almost pissed me off this episode. I really didn't want her to give up everything just to be with Goro. If she cares for him and they're good friends, they don't have to go to the same school. Really glad she'll continue playing softball. |

| If Gorou's academics were that bad then this might have been for the best. It was really cool of Toshiya to help out as much as he did. Although Gorou might be oblivious to Shimizu's feelings, he inadvertently gave her good advice. If Shimizu is concerned about Gorou getting a girlfriend in high school then she should just confess herself sometime. I'm all but certain that Gorou hasn't thought of and is unlikely to ever think of her that way on his own; she or someone else will likely have to introduce the thought to him, or ask him about any girls he likes at the very least. I'm not expecting romance this season. It could happen, but I don't think it's likely. I'd say it's about 50/50 for next season though. |
| So the middle school chapter came to an end, too bad, really liked that time,but at the time I'm also exited to see new friends and rivals. Also sure that most characters will have reappearances again,like Ryouko in this episode. |

| i waited all the episode for someone shout at goro for his laziness, i though shimizu, but momoko actually surprised me. goro really loled my before the interview. and we finally have more shimizu time, good to see more screen time of her before the high-school arc. and though i excepted to see any former character, i never excepted that the fatty one. |

| Oh God, despite arriving late and forgetting his bag Goro actually managed to pass ...what has the world come to...he'll never stop bragging. Felt nostalgic seeing Ryoko, the little league and Maehara's little brother, time really flies... |
