Welcome to Choice! Spring/Summer 2008 Edition So you're probably all wondering, "What the heck is choice? What kinda theme is that??" Well, it's an icontest where you get to choose your own theme! Of course, we have to put some kind of stipulations on it, or it wouldn't be a contest, now would it? So follow me on down to the rules... Choice! Spring/Summer 2008 Rules You may choose any anime or manga you would like! However: -- anime must have started airing in the Spring/Summer session -- manga must have begun publication in the last three years A theme must be present in the icon, and may not be a theme used in a previous icontest -- this theme must be stated when your icon is submitted -- it should also should appear somewhere in your icon (so voters will know) -- please be original with your theme; we don't want 10 of the same theme x) Please follow these rules, and challenge yourselves! I'm hoping this will be a really fun theme :D As always, our general rules are.... Theme: Choice! - you may use words/characters/scenes of your favourite anime or manga that follow choice rules - feel free to use other images (non-anime) as background or accents to the central image - be creative! Rules: - You can enter up to 2 icons - Icon size: 100x100 or 100x125 (MAL size) - Cannot be from fan art, unless it is your own (or you have permission) - Must be your own work Format for Submitting Icons: 1. (insert icon here) 2. name the character/series 3. link to the original picture (or original in spoilers) 4. theme Reward: - 1st place: icon as club picture, and winner banner - 2nd place: winner banner - 3rd Ppace: winner banner Note: places will be based on individuals, rather than icons ------------------------DEADLINE-------------------------- Tuesday, September 15th Questions or comments can messaged to either icecreeaamm or myself! | Hmm, what about shows such as Code Geass, which had a second season that started in Summer, but had its first season last year; does that mean you can only use images from the second season? |

A question for everyone: I'm thinking about holding this theme again, probably about half way through winter for the Fall/Winter 2008 sessions. Would people be happier if I extended the manga limit from 3 years to 5? I just don't want 10,000 icons from mangas that have 3,000 chapters (if you know what I mean...) |

| So how long do we have to submit? aslo can I have a list or something of all the anime that begun airing in Spring cause all I know are ones like a year or more old. Also, Why does it have to be an anime that aired in Spring this year? |

Every anime registered on MAL shows when it was aired under "information" so it's either that or google for animes started this summer/spring. The reason to your last question is probably to limit the amount of animes/mangas to chose from since the theme "choice" is pretty wide as it is. |
