| X/1999 since I prefer his personality in it, not that I preferred him to have a broken heart or anything to create this, I just prefer his personality as a whole since TB Subaru, as cute as he is, he was way too shy for my liking but as he got older, I think his personality stood out more. |

| I love Subaru-sama in X the most. TB is a close second, and TRC is an extremely bad manga, so it comes last, even though my husband is perfect in every form, of course. |

| Subaru's great anywhere, but I love him best in Tokyo B. He's so sweet and innocent. It's nice to believe in people like that, even though they might get damaged later. |
| One of the nice things about TB Subaru is that he's so sweet and caring but not to the point of being annoying. He's so genuiune and it's pretty difficult to find people like him. Subaru's one of a kind :) |
| I like the three of them (: but here's the order: 1. I just love Subaru in TB <3 2. Subaru in X was great too 3. I don't think TRC was as great as the older works by CLAMP, but the Tokyo Revelations arc was my favorite (becuase of the X characters), so of course I like him in this one too. |
| I agree that TRC wasn't as great as CLAMP's older works, and Tokyo Revelations was my favorite arc as well. Vampire Subaru was absolutely adorable. |
| I like him equally in Tokyo Babylon and X. I mean, he's not really a different character in X. He had already changed by the end of Tokyo Babylon. The only difference in X is that we see how the events of Tokyo Babylon have impacted him over the years. How his obsession with Seishirou has become all-consuming. In Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, we see the same kindness and compassion of the original Subaru, but neither his innocence from Tokyo Babylon or his reticence from X. I suppose that means that his "core nature" is gentle and kind, while the other qualities are merely the result of events that have or haven't occurred. But I prefer the Subaru with the backstory in Tokyo Babylon. Subaru from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle had potential, but it was never fully realized. |
