| The problem is that this OVA does not respect the timeline. This OVA feature material post Tsukiyo arc while the anime will end with Nagase's arc which mean before Tsukiyo's. Sure they could make a third season and just leave the part the OVA covered out but if they were planning to do a third season then there would be no point in doing this OVA as it would be covered in the third season. |

The user Nishitomi_Negi very kindly gave a summarized translation of what the above said Nishitomi_Negi said: "There has not been any plans for something like a 3rd season. Once the staff is dissolve, it is very hard to convocate them again. There was not any intention for a 3rd season from the very begining. We are very lucky that an OVA is being planned. However, if the OVA sells, they may have plans." That is what Wakaki-sensei writes on the last tweet of the image D: Conclusion: There will NOT be a third season this year, and mostly likely not the next. However if the OVA manages to do good, we MIGHT get lucky in the future |

| They made a right decision to animate ch 54 - 55. That was the time I actually got HYPED to read the next chapters :D That might work for the anime as well to get a 3rd season obviously not this year or even next year but I still have my hopes to see moar Kaminomi animated :D But for now, I'm looking forward to the OVA. Wake me up went September starts~~~ |

So we should expect a third season if this sells well. and I hope it does. and well, if we really do get a third season, we have to get a fourth or even a fifth season to finish the capture arc then we can finally move on to the goddess arc if they plan to stay loyal to the manga. |

The news also confirms the official name for the OVA, 神のみぞ知るセカイ 4人とアイドル or "Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Yonnin to Aidoru" (The World God Only Knows: Four People and an Idol) which was mentioned in the Natalie link on this page. |

| Probably low on budget but I don't really know. I am really want to see how they going to be in the anime. Don't lose your hope on 3rd season, this such a great anime/manga. It should continue till manga is over. |

| ...... Well I won't be too surprised if season 1-2 didn't go well. I mean chapter 1-60 were pretty boring as they didn't have a story..... Should've just kept the important heroines/popular ones! |
