| 8/10 first episode. I have hells bells of a clue what's going on, but so far this is the most entertaining cast of characters and best dialogue I've seen out of an anime in quite some time now. |

| This was a little bit confusing but the cast are interesting. The voice acting was amazing which Kana and Mamoru usually do a brilliant job at it. I love the character designs. The OP and ED are freaking awesome! Okarin seems rather quirky, I've already started to like him. His laugh is just great as well! I'm looking forward to the rest of the anime. :) |

| A nice start to things. Pretty cool realization at the end of the episode about him going back in time. Although, if he did go back in time, wouldn't the him from the first half of the episode know about the satellite crash? Anyway, I'm kind of interested to see if he ends up seeing himself in the next episode or not. The cast seems alright thus far. Okabe is fantastic. Mayuri started off annoying, but I grew to like her slightly by the end of the episode. Daru is quite a funny guy thus far. I tend to enjoy otaku characters like him, especially when they're used as comic relief. Makise seems too mysterious to really get a good sense of her character, but... I don't think she's poorly done or anything... yet. I'll see how things pan out. |

| (rewatching) It's hard to appreciate everything that happens in this episode without having already seen the anime. Yes, I know exactly what's going on, and yes, I remember how it didn't make much sense and seemed like nonsense the first time I watched the episode. |

| Like everyone else apparently, I'm confused. But I'm sure all the time travel stuff that appears to be going on will make sense later lol. In the meantime, I'm loving the characters so far, especially Okarin. When he kept laughing at Kurisu and talking to his turned-off phone, I was cracking up! This anime looks like it will be a lot of fun. -- 4/5 |
| Playing through VN while re-watching (in English LOL, reminds me of watching pokemon when I was younger). Noticing the differences from VN and stuff I didn't realize before in first watch through. Makes total sense when you're in the loop. Mayuri's voice should really be softer, and more like a klutz. I remember first ep giving me goosebumps. |

| I really like the feel of this anime so far. The atmosphere is also awesome, I like hearing the cicada sounds that convey the feel of summer. I'm really looking forward to watching more. It's going to be one hell of a ride! |

| Okay, I always love those series which has a murder at the very beginning :3 And in this one, the murdered one came alive in the same episode? OMFG. I love this already. The OP and ED were great! I loved 'em. And I know the show will get more clear if I just keep watching. So moving onto the next episode. |
| Came here since there were tons of recommendation from Madoka page. HanaKana's voice is very noticeable lol. You can notice her voice even if you go blindly. I'm not quite sure what's going on for episode 1, wasn't really interested because of how slow it is. But seeing it's 9.18 on MAL, it has too be good then. So what I'm getting is a mad chuunibyou scientist, stupid soft girl voiced by HanaKana, a cool woman who died then still alive because some sort of time machine, and a fat guy. So it's basically a time concept anime. Since I'm going in blind, I wonder if there's a plot twist. |

A cool mysterious redhead, an absent minded girl with what appears to be a tragic past, a fat otaku, and a schizophrenic mad scientist who has suddenly found himself in the middle of time traveling occurrences... My interest has been firmly captured. I wonder if Kurisu has been experiencing this same phenomenon. Okabe didn't remember trying to tell her something like she accused him of doing. Daru had the text that he sent after Kurise had been murdered. What if an Okabe from a different timeline had received this random message, attempted to warn her, but then she traveled through time without realizing it and then met the current Okabe seen in this episode 15 minutes later? In any case, the episode did a great job setting up the mystery. |

| So I tried this show out a long time ago, but I couldn't get past the first episode. Is there anyone here who's seen it who can give me a bit of info on it? Does it get better? Is it always very confusing? Does it have romance? Good closure? Any help would be fantastic :) |

Many find the pace of the show to be quite slow and the story itself to be uneventful until the half way mark, but there's actually a lot of important stuff happening even in the first 12 episodes. Generally, though, that's when you can expect the show to swing into high gear. 2) Not really confusing. After the first few episodes, everything becomes clearer and by the end almost no questions are left unanswered. 3) Not much, but there is some romance. 4) It definitely has a complete ending to the point that the OVA and movie sequels that follow it feel unnecessary. |
