| Can't believe No-Rider Hannya made another appearance. That last hit was so epic. I was so sad to see her go back to the sea. With everyone on shore to see her off, it shows how many people she befriended during her "invasion." It was really touching the way everyone was acting after she left and her return and the saving of Eiko shows how much she has become apart of their family. Great episode and great series. Not only does it make me laugh, but it also succeeds in making me freaked out and touched. This has become one of my favorites. I really look forward to the second season of Ika Musume! |

| Quite nice last episode! It's good that there is a second season, so we can enjoy more of squid girl! Let's see how it goes this season was quite fun as well quite nice art and animation really nice in general! It had quite an open ending so lets see how the second season will proceed on to this one but what an nice ending though! Great anime! 8/10 |

| i really wasnt expecting much of this anime, but i downloaded it anyway, i was pleasantly surprised, it had some pretty funny moments (i pretty much lost my shit in the volleyball part where they all brag about the 'unbreakable, nonreturnable ball, then go to spike it and he hand breaks in xray slowmo to his scream) and outside of that i was pretty much wearing a shit eating grin throughout the entire series. very glad i picked this up, solid 9/10 |

| A lot of feels in this episode. Nothing is the same without Ika-chan mess up around. She sucks as an invader but she's the most cute and adorable squid ever <3 I enjoyed this anime a lot, great humor. |

| 3/5 for being extremely cheesy, but at least it was better than when it tries to do comedy. Didn't really like this show that much. Didn't really find it that funny. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood. Might as well watch season 2. Also, considering that this is my 200th completed anime, I think that I should start watching better shows for my milestones. |

| The first mini episode was great fun, I bent over with laughter. The remaining episode is a bit sad, but still treading the hand, showing a somewhat melancholic narrative, in the end is not heavy and boring to watch. Drawings and animations, good. I can finally start the second season, Yay! This time I will give 8/10, because he deserves it. |

| Having a good setting for a series does wonder for one's personal enjoyment, especially when it comes to a slice of life, and boy was this fun to watch. There were a few segments that felt really, really forced and cringe-inducing like the second half of this episode, but generally it's a nice slice of life, and (mini) Ika Musume is so cute. The art style is also something I really like from the past era, similar to Hayate no Gotoku. (personally didn't like the round face moe of this era) |

| The beach volleyball episode was really funny, with Sanae confirming her M obsession and also the Chizuru Eiko's save. The crsis ending was also really well done. This anime overall, was really a fun ride. |

| So that girl appeared out of nowhere just to give Squid girl moral support and leaves just like that? What the hell? Squid girl looked super cute with short hair. Ahhh, this was great. Finally she turned around and gave us a sweet smile.  Welp, that was enjoyable. The first episode didn't 'wow' me, but after that, everything had a nice flow and I enjoyed every episode after that. I'll put this at an 8. Time for season 2! |

| My favorite part was when Ika said whenever she lost her tentacles again she will throw Eiko into the ocean again, Damn that was a funny line. All I can say about this anime is everything was perfect! 9/10. |

| Well, that was a mysterious encounter! Also, TIL this series takes place on the beach of . I was surprised at how no-holds-barred that was. But then again, given how insane everyone is on a regular basis, perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised. Overall, I like this, but I think I was thrown off by the realistic setting in this story. I think I expected something a little more like...well, I knew Squid Girl herself would be a fish out of water (pun not intended but acknowledged), but I didn't expect this many characters in the rest of the setting to be such weirdos, especially the alleged* MIT grads. Though, the main cast got developed somewhat more thoroughly -- and my favorite character is Eiko. I just love how down-to-earth she is, how she just deals with whatever, no matter how insane. Though Chizuru ain't bad either, and Nagisa not only looks pretty but also participates in a hilarious daisy chain of ironic relationships. *Those are very much not MIT grads. They are complete bozos. And we don't even have class rankings, lol. |

| And sad episode for the end.. Overall, I think that this anime was quite enjoyable.. But it also needed some episodes (like 3, or something) for things to get used to and to stabilize.. As at the beginning there was too much hostility in the air, it felt.. Later we got more and more just enjoyable slice of life.. I liked Ika the most in the anime.. I like her design, and I just wished for her to have fun, stuff like that.. Then I also liked Sanae and Kiyomi instantly, both are friendly nice girls.. Some other characters I also liked, and the more time I saw them, the more I started to like some of them.. Like Ayumi, or other characters.. |
| Excellent finale. That volleyball game was so epic. Ika alone on the beach again. Very beautiful scenery. She looked cute with short tentacles. :3 I liked that conversation between her and the mysterious girl, Kozue. She's an interesting character. I'm glad Ika got her long tentacles back, because isn't Ika Musume without them. :) Bye bye, Ika! I love you! <3 This first season is pretty much a masterpiece. |
