| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I find myself disappointed with Seijuro's death, or maybe it's more accurate to say my expectations were subverted here. From the get-go, it seemed like Seijuro was being hyped up as a worthy opponent, someone who would be able to put up a good fight against Musashi. Their actual battle, on the other hand, was somewhat anticlimactic and way too short-lived. Anyway, it's a shame he was only around for such a short time. He was pretty cool. In any case, I guess this shows how much Musashi has grown as a swordsman. |

| The fact that Seijuro died so soon subverted my expectations in a good way. I like the quick kill with multiple angles in the panelization and backstory presenting what took place in milliseconds. Also makes the arc that much more appealing of what could be coming next considering Kojiro is in Kyoto too. |

| HOLY shit. Seijuro became the bisected one so quickly, sometimes I forget how short sword-fights can get. Lethal as fuck. Hesitation is defeat, and Seijuro happened to hesitate for a single second Denshichiro crying for his brother :( "and then...and then what, brother.." Its just even sadder because im assuming Seijuro definitely tried to kill Musashi because he knew dens wouldnt stand a chance against him...he was just trying to protect his lil brother |
