| Oh shit I did not expect Takumi to win! And wow, that last drift near the end was amazing. Is the Iketani and Mako ship still afloat somehow? 7/10, Off to season 2 now haha |

| Wow what a great way to end stage one! Super hyped for stage 2! I’ll give this one a 10/10 but might change it depending on how the other seasons go. I’m known for giving high ratings at first XD I loved everything though! The shows just too good and I wish there were more car anime’s like this but there isn’t much sadly. |

| Beautiful finale of this race. Takumi really had a lot of honorable and respectfull opponents but Ryosuke probably accepted defeat the best. I really was suprised with the trick Takumi used to win the race it looked so hard to believe that this method would work so well in a drift race. Really looking forward to the continuation of something I can already consider best racing anime I've ever seen. |
| Im honestly surprised he never lost a single race, I thought for sure he would lose or draw one, but he won every single time and it kept beeing tense anyway. This shows production quality is all over the place but its really just that good, glad I finally watched it. This wasnt even my favourite race, thats just how good some of the others were. Curious what the other seasons will do now after he beat everyone, the final will surely be against his dad but thats like 4 seasons way |

| Oh yeah this anime is legendary. I'm most happy when I see those cars drifting around. I can rub one out to cars drifting alone in this anime. Each race was so exciting and thrilling to watch. The camera movement and POV's were so good and cool to watch, you could feel the excitement. Even I was feeling nervous before the race of Ryosuke and Takumi. This anime is a masterpiece for me. 10/10. Fucking loved it. |

| I love it. I really like drifting and we all know Initial D is THE anime for that. It's such a classic. I was constantly hyped up watching the races and the drifts in each corner. I even found the dynamics between the characters interesting, so I didn't mind the few episodes that had no racing. Yes the anime is very old and it might turn some people off, but I don't mind it. I don't mind the dated CGI, because at least it looks quite fluid. The car sounds are solid, so the car-guy part of me is satisfied. The best thing about Initial D is easily the goddamn peak hype soundtrack, it got me into listening to Eurobeat while driving! When the Eurobeat is about to hit, you know the scene is going to be hype as fuck. The next seasons will probably look better, and I can't wait to continue the story. |

| Takumi is the greatest, that technique he used against Ryosuke was super epic. I thought Takumi will lose, especially after Ryosuke told Keisuke that he'll retire if he lost his streak. I Thought the series was foreshadowing his loss, and I must say it totally got me. I wonder if he will retire, I guess I'll have to see on the second stage. I wish they didn't end this episode abruptly, after all Takumi did defeat one of the greatest street racer, I wanted the victory to be savored. Best series I've watched since great pretender this year. Best characters all over. The plot was super great, everything exactly how I wanted. Except I wanted Itsuki to have Saori at the end, I was rooting for that romance rather than Iketani and Mako. The disco/dance/pop was super nice. The pace was splendidly done. Here's to more☆☆☆☆☆ |

| A great and incredible series. What an amazing way to finish it. This anime has grown closer to my heart, and it has earned a place in my favorites list. Personally, I never liked driving. I was like Takumi’s character at the beginning of the series, seeing driving as nothing but a chore. Something I have to do, not something I want to do or particularly enjoy doing. However, upon watching initial D, I just couldn’t help but binge watch it, and I realized that hey driving may not to be too bad. Not to say I want to drift or be a racer, but I think I have had a change of perspective on driving and being behind the steering wheel that I can enjoy driving, especially with the eurobeat soundtrack lmao. All around, it was a great anime with great races, good characters, and a nice story that knew when to be emotional, dramatic, serious, and comedic. The animation and art style also gave me nostalgia vibes, like the young me watching an anime that came out in early 2000’s or 1990’s (e.g. DBZ, captain Tsubasa, etc) . 10/10. |

| I kind of agree of what people are saying they wanted Tak to lose as it makes him go for more not just settling for less not literally less but to make him motivated to win again if he lost in this case but I rooted for him just to see him win when I really wanted him to lose just to see him strive again also would've made sense since there's a lot of stages but all in all even in the ending surprised he gambled to his victory would like to see him do it in the last curve good season tho excited to start the second stage. |

| takumi remains undefeated, massive W. almost thought he was gonna lose tbh but his dads not surprised at all lmao. the most exciting show i've ever watched, the adrenaline rush was real. best music i've ever heard from any anime, eurobeat slapsss. the cgi looked not so great but as it went on, it kept improving. really good for a 90s anime. enjoyed the little romantic subplot as well. not only did this show have everything but everything was done well. 10/10 easily going in my favorites. regret not watching it sooner. |

| Wow!!! Takumi is a beast! Absolutely crazy how this show panned out into being something kinda unpredictable. Great episode, great hype. Enjoyed this series a lot! |
