Another nice script!
I wish https://metamal.pro/seasonal/2023/fall#characters could also show stats for ALL characters but they only show the 15 hottest at the moment. Hmm, could MetaMAL be somewhat incorporated in the script? π€

I did not find an easy way to do that, MAL usually just forgets to add next-page buttons for example, but that page was properly made, so the dev didn't just forget to add a next-page button or something dumb like that. But he is a nice guy though, U can ask him https://metamal.pro/contact *IF you do tell him that it's a shame that he still uses IRC hhaha |

I've also seen some possible bots try to replicate a conversation with normal users and posting no links, seemed to be AI based and using information from other forum posts. That's when it gets really difficult to 100% out a user as a bot. Decent AI + bot + spam links might be insane. |

| Hi, so I just realized that we can check old stats on MetaMAL by changing the year and season on this link https://metamal.pro/seasonal/YEAR/SEASON or https://metamal.pro/seasonal/YEAR/SEASON#characters for character stats. ex: https://metamal.pro/seasonal/2022/spring https://metamal.pro/seasonal/2023/spring https://metamal.pro/seasonal/2023/fall#characters https://metamal.pro/seasonal/2024/winter#characters It's just that only the "15 hottest characters" are shown per season. It would be nice if they show the stats over time for ALL characters in one page or more... Anyways, at least we can use hacker09's Character pages Fix - MAL script to check all the character pages. MAL should really include all pages (~168,000 characters) in their 'Characters' pagination instead of just showing the top 1,050 characters. Oh, I'm just gonna leave MetaMAL's repo/source code here too: https://gitlab.com/metamal |
