Just watch the Heaven's Feel trilogy, and you'd be done with the Fuyuki Grail Wars. After that, it's basically a free for all, and you can pick up anything. Make sure to watch the Grand Order Adaptations at the end though. |

Yeah im with him. If your gonna start with Fate/Stay Night you can start with either of the other routes as Heavens Feel skips a lot of the general explaination and you will be very confused watching it (more so than you will be normaly anyhow). But as long as you watch Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night (I recomend Unlimited Blade Works as its more recent and has better animation over the regular anime) you can watch the other shows in whatever order to want to watch them. |

Did you even read OPs post properly? He already saw UBW. OP watch Heaven's Feel next and then you can check out anything else. Lord El Melloi's case files is in a similar timeline to Stay Night, so you can watch that next if you want. Every other show and movie is a different story in a different timeline, so the order doesn't really matter if you stay anime only. |

Fate/Zero is a Prequel , so you watch it last. But no , people recommend to watch it first , because "it's the best" or "it's the start"... Since every person throwing a "perfect order" is contradict someone else , everyone started to think the Fate Series is confusing as hell , but... just no. Dan_ALves said: So after watching Fate/Zero, I can watch Strange/fake? You could , but why would you watch a Spin-Off when you didn't even watched the Main Story before ? Here is the whole order : Important : It is recommended to read the Visual Novel instead of watching the Animes, as they have to cut a lot of dialogues important for characterization. The Author, Kinoko Nasu, think it's impossible to get the same quality of writing due to the difference in medium. If you don't want to play it now (or even at all), you can still watch the Animes, but always keep in mind this alternative. Fate/Stay Night (2006) Fate/Stay Night : Unlimited Blade Works - Prologue Fate/Stay Night : Unlimited Blade Works Fate/Stay Night : Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season Fate/Stay Night : Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season - Sunny Day Fate/Stay Night Movie : Heaven's Feel I - Presage Flower Fate/Stay Night Movie : Heaven's Feel II - Lost Butterfly Fate/Stay Night Movie : Heaven's Feel III - Spring Song Fate/Zero Fate/Zero 2nd Season Notes : Fate/Stay Night 2006's visuals are outdated (especially when compared to Ufotable's), and if you don't understand Shirô, he can be extremely annoying... Most people suggest to skip it, but it's still the best way to get into the franchise (without reading the Visual Novel), thanks to the exposition. It's also the only series that has a fully fleshed out development of Saber (The mascot of the franchise), and also the fantastic OSTs of Kenji Kawai. (OST Sample) If you struggle too much watching it, you can watch the TV Reproduction recaps instead, or completely skip it, but i really think it's a shame... For those who aren't too familiar with the universe of the franchise, watching the Kara no Kyoukai movies (another work of the Author) can help to clarify the ending of Heaven's Feel III. Even if you don't want to read the Visual Novel, i still recommend to read the following chapters : Last Episode, the Epilogue of the 2006 Anime. (There is also a Manga Adaptation of it, but it spoil Unlimited Blade Works.) When It's Spring & Cherry Blossom's Dream, a two-parts Alternative Ending to Heaven's Feel. Sparks Liner High, Shirô VS Saber Alter, one of the "Bad Ending" of Heaven's Feel. Fate/Zero is considered by many as the best series of the entire franchise. However, being a prequel, it expect you to be already familiar with the lore, and to know the outcome of it. You can watch it first, but the infos dump can be rough, the series will spoil most twists of the three Stay Night series (The majority of it in the first episode), and it also have a different, more grittier, tone. The Author of Zero himself, Gen Urobuchi, was surprised to learn that peoples discovered the franchise with his work, but made it clear that it was important to experience it in last. Alexioos95 said: You could , but why would you watch a Spin-Off when you didn't even watched the Main Story before ? I should have explained better, I didn´t said enough info. I already watched UBW and Heavens Feel and now I´m finishing Fate/Zero. After I finish it, can I watch Strange/fake? |

In this case , yeah. There is different factions in Strange Fake , including the clock tower tho , so watching Lord El-Melloi II Sei no Jikenbo and reading Clock Tower 2015 will provide additional background. There is also the lore of Tsukihime that takes a small part. It's not mandatory , but it's always a plus. |
