| A village ravaged by bandits, and Casserole doesn't make any stops in creating defense against a stronghold, with his son Pas helping in tow. With all being accounted for, even the suzerain lord's 3 retainer forces of Feuille, Cointreau and Glacage isn't enough, and Pas's childhood friends Marcarullo and Luminito help out in the fray as well, except playing the noble treatment on him. Sure enough, the bandits arrive early, and Casserole raises morale on everyone to start the assault. Like preparing to make candy, Pas focuses on making sure that all is accounted for, making the best of minimizing losses with his war strategy, because cooking can come later. The bandits consisting of ex-calvary with their hostages being former villagers, both Casserole and Feuille make the decoy to reel the bandits in, which is where the other retainers and villagers strike with Pas's orders. And even though the bandits manage to infiltrate their way in, Pas's magic helps out at the end through replication, ending their raid. Damn, a bit of a misleading title, don'tcha think? |

| The story is kinda generic isekai, but the power of replicating things is genuinely interesting. I thought that the way he would use his power would be to multiply the amount of rocks thrown by the kids to crush the bandits, but replicating a wound onto every atacker was a really unexpected and cool use of his powers that I didn't see coming! I'm kinda really hoping the story gets better from here because this episode made me see the potential that it has! |

| That's quite a unique magic ability, but it kinda feels like a whiplash with this show, granted it was my fault thinking it was going to be chill but it has some action and violence, right now my complaint is that for example Myne is quite smart because ofc she loves to read and with her ultimate goal she needs that world civilization to advance but then we have this show, MC used to be a pâtissier yet he is quite good with tactics and quite the strategist because? but then again his father was quite the soldier so I guess he learned it all from him, except they are just as amazed by his knowledge like the rest and what does any of that has anything to do with making food. I would say at the very least Mc is self aware that this is no moment to be thinking about desserts because they are one night away of getting slaved, raped and killed. |

| It's terribly boring, generic and cheap so far. The battle was pretty stupid too. Everything was so obviously written to be according to plot. "The bandit leader has to reach the villiage." "The children have to be threatend, but must not die". There was no excitement or tension in this. And if Pas and his father would be serious with their magic, nobody even had to die. Just burn one villager's hand, replicate it on the bandits and have them drop into the river. Also, Pas' father left for the hit-and-run at dusk, yet somehow, it was bright as day in the flashback supposed to be set afterwards. Unless next episode pulls something huge, this is a drop. |
| Very bold to make an isekai about making sweets start off with a violent raid against a village. I’m not one to usually nitpick about art quality or animation, but this show feels very stiff so far, especially with the fight scenes. I was hoping for a similar vibe to Isekai Yakkyoku/Parallel World Pharmacy (cozy niche isekai with a focus on improving medieval society with modern knowledge - ie pharmacy knowledge and baking techniques) but the characters thus far lack a depth to them that makes them not really come off as real characters. The main mc analyzes the bandit raid too logically that it comes off as though he doesn’t really care, and it’s a little difficult to get into the conflict that’s been building up for two episodes when the mc just automatically knows the best tactic to use against the bandits despite never crafting plans beforehand or even using magic. I hope it shifts more into the baking revolution side of the synopsis soon rather than the process to get there because it’s just been unsatisfying so far. |

Hoping we get to the food angle next episode. Frankly considering how rare good food would be in those dark ages, Nobles and Royalty would kill to hire MC. Even Sansa Stark was won over by ... lemon cakes. Right now this is a mid isekai, not great on the food angle yet, and nowhere as enjoyable as Campfire cooking. |

| Shitty visuals aside, I'm hoping it's going to be similar to Bookworm Isekai, sweets instead of books. Seems like a slow burner in terms of actual goal progression, if the first couple of episodes are anything to go by. Though the battle is honestly not too bad, thought it would be over in a flash, but villagers died and I liked how it portrayed a bandit, no hesitation in going after a bunch of little kids. |

| Okay this episode has some problems LOL Is it just me or was the animation seriously weird in some parts? Then there's the background characters (the villagers and bandits), who just don't seem to have faces? Like what? The opening bit of the first episode I was fine with, but this is just way too much lol I just couldn't keep my eyes off of their blank faces. Is this really how it's going to be all the way through? And then there's the actual episode, which idk it felt just a bit too ridiculous |

| This is seriously interesting. I get to see strategic planning against their invaders instead of having overpowered skills left & right from our MC. This is a rather refreshing series even with that dreaded score from the others. I guess I'll be looking forward to more episodes. Another interesting character:  |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Cointreau? The names are killing me. Tell me now is Hennessey going to pop up? What about Belvedere or Makers Mark? Midori maybe? Ok going back to finish. I just had to get that out. Pas' replicate power is a winner during a battle. I wonder if he can replicate a mortal wound. That would be absolutely dangerous. Knowing Pas, he probably just wanted to use it to replicate sifting flour so he didn't have to do it multiple times. |

I hope to see some extra-terrestrial alien beings (I just wanted to use some big ass words ok? It's just monsters) in the next ep, bandits are just a bore. Anyyyyyhoww a decent episode it had been, looking forward for the next one. :P |

| I'm a hardcore Isekai fanatic so yes I'll still finish this but maaaaaan it's been boring! Also super weird to have the guy be a patisserie chef but in his new world it doesn't matter at all, so far.and looks like it's just gonna be a gimmick. Also this dude probably went to a cooking school or something like that but he acts like he was Sun Tzu's apprentice lol Also I repeat what other peeps said as well... if he had replication, why did he wait for his people to die and be backed into a corner when he could have just replicated a mortal wound or something way quicker? I'll wait to see if they explain. Welp so far looks like. 4or5/10 Also which of the boys gonna get that Lumi chick first! Guaranteed best girl when she grows up!  |

| It's a bit hard to believe that everyone takes a 9 year old so seriously in this show. The fact they have a whole coming of age ritual shows they culturally do not see kids as equals but inferiors unless they take the ritual so seriously that no matter the age of who passes they consider them fully an adult then I guess I can let that slide as being a logic for this world. That replication ability is actually pretty cool. I dont know if that's been done before elsewhere though. Still no sweets but that apple of another name lol |

| TBH... I thought MC was going to use magic to throw those stones at the bandits or something... But... slingshots? WTF.... I highly doubt in actual combat... those slingshots would actually deal that much damage... especially... how are some of the rocks on fire when they showed the kids throwing rocks were all normal rocks... Especially since I am pretty sure the fire would have burned the slingshots. So... did Pas set them on fire after they went flying? Also... "you're a girl, so you're sitting out" (nice gender inequality) . Replicate?... More like "Mirror Image" or something, lol. Replicate is more like turning 1 into 2. (aka Stargate's replicator, lol) . And yea, so far... not that great of a feeling for this series, think I'll put it in "to watch later" section. (it's not a bad watch, but not a great watch either) |
