| From the character background storytelling segments, Bunko really is a mature person at someone her age at the time. I like how the show made her character also competitive even during such a young age. Seems she was always destined to be competitive and someone who seeks challenges. |

| great episode as usual. we finally got the anticipated bunko's backstory. seeing our bunko, master bunko changed his mind to not let daikoukte end with him and our bunko seeing mameda changed her mind too. uta in next episode. let's see how mameda deals with him. |

| Bunko's backstory as the Sevenfold Fox, taken in by her master Bunchou to take on Rakugo while she gets her revenge on humans who've laid her to death, destroying her shrine home and forgetting about bonds, awaiting her next trickery. Things don't take kindly to the unnatural nature of Bunko, and the other Heavenly Kings take it in their stride to tolerate her (with Enshi bickering at her the most). Bunchou's patrons eating and rejuvenating away while paying no attention to him, it's the same fire spirit of disrespect, even for a Heavenly King who's just a mere human. Meeting Bunko certainly was a blessing in disguise, performing his best act for both Bunko and his audience. And most certainly, the story of Hyakunenme a.k.a "The Hundredth Year" opened her eyes to the humans of changing eras, who may be bad, but not all of them are. 5 years, and that's all it took to get Bunko to the Daikokutei level that Bunchou had expected before his passing. As for Mameda, meeting Haku's Master Utaroku being the 3rd of 4 tests before she's certified to inherit the Daikokutei name...what is a sickly man here to provide? |
