| the secret santa anime edition had almost 3000 replies on its own, and its only volunteer driven so naturally it's gonna take some time to sort stuff out so continually asking when the matches are gonna be dropped doesn't seem productive that said, the MAL team do kinda sacrifice efficiency by relying on people using a forum thread with a format that people ultimately won't adhere to as opposed to using a fixed tool/form that can easily be sorted to spit out matches automatically from the beginning. however this would take clicks away from the site... devs making better in-house tools for event purposes would make process like this so much easier :))) |

| I've hosted Secret Santas before (it was art-based though if that makes a difference) and the one or two that suddenly disappear until several months later is just plain annoying.... I can't imagine hundred's of them. My condolences to the elves/helpers Tho...I admit I can't resist hoping for news --not so much because I'm impatient to get something but because I'm curious about the reaction of the person I 'gifted to' :3 |
