| So yeah, it's been quite a ride. Maaaaybe I'm a bit disappointed, because up to the point of them accepting they already became real friends and the Christmas Eve party I felt a lot of excitement and fun reading this series, but these past two volumes were seriously slow-paced. Like, the characters and their relationships stabilized, there was no need to rush, just you everyday school life. But it's not that bad - Yozora getting rejected in the kindest way possible, Rika sincerely hoping she and Kodaka stay friends from now on, Maria's goodbye, these all were genuinely wholesome moments. I thought only Sena didn't get a proper conclusion, just "I always get what I want, you'll see", but ehhh it's okay I guess. One of the few harem series I really don't mind protagonist not choosing any of the girls to properly date, Haganai's main theme since the first chapter was friendship after all. The last chapter is pretty typical for highschool series, but up to this point, I enjoyed both the comedy and more heartfelt moments in this series. I'll definitely remember it fondly. 8/10 |
