| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Finally, a fantasy series where the mc isn't op. Just a regular guy trying to work. Since it's been established that this is a gag series I shouldn't be focusing on the details and logic of things moving forward. |

| I feel dumbfounded to see that the first batch of people to post about this first episode is how good the comedy is, and how this is what slapstick should be. Like wth I've seen a couple of mediocre slapstick anime and it's sure right better than this. The comedy is downright insulting at points, because even though I want to like it, the characters just keep giving us unnecessary disses while they keep their utmost poker face while they're at it...and you repeat that throughout the episode. I know it is carefree but when you got a bargain barrel animation plus little to no payoff from 10-15 minutes worth of C-tier comedy, you kinda just want to give up and drop this. Seriously, the last time I got to feel on a seasonal anime like this was on Gibiate, which is something an anime don't want to be noted from me. |

| So... this is the "DIEOFCRINGE" meme quality comedy. I am not really sure about this, while I understand all the jokes, I didn't exactly find them that funny. TBH, I find the Bear more funny... LOL (bear also apparently has a house... this is some highly intelligent bear) ___ ___ ___ Also, Carla's healing is pretty much just cursing... she should just change her job to a warlock or something. And Alvin's face is so ugly, they have to constantly censor it by blocking with something. ___ ___ ___ So far, the first episode is "So-So", the jokes are mediocre, but understandably funny at times. I'll watch a few more episodes, but feels like the humor and pacing will be bad throughout the entire series. |

| I disliked this first episode, I guess there's something wrong in the premise? It's too simple, and even trying to expand on that sounds a miracle... Or maybe it's the pacing, or the execution. The writing is weak, the jokes aren't all that funny, really disliking it. Stink_Bug said: Better than I expected. Still, Maoujou de Oyasumi ended up varied enough and quite entertaining despite also being based around a single simple stupid gimmick, so the same could happen this one.My only concern about this is the same concern I have about every gimmick anime, its gonna get stale quickly. If the series only has one joke and runs with that the entire series its gonna get bad by about episodes 3-4. I've seen a lot of anime that were one-trick ponies that only had one joke and got boring quick. Mahou Shoujo Ore is one that comes to mind where the entire show joke was they can turn into guys. This series gives off a similar vibe of one joke but I guess it depends if they can come up with funny dialogue for her. Thing is, Maoujou de Oyasumi had 3 segments per episode that were quite varied... It feels like this anime has a different formula that is more run-on. For example the bear was here from start to finish, so except if later on the bear comes back for gags to vary based on the length of exposition, it might feel empty. Let's say there's building, I hope there'll be pay-off to save the show |

The last time I saw such dedication to creatively censoring a body part was in ecchi. |
